And ZHENG HAS THE MATCH !! - Vaidisova was all over the place at the start of the game and Zheng manages to race to a 40-0 advantage. Vaidisova finally finds a few big forehands and gets back to 40-30 but then she fires a third one into the net and Zheng's giant killing run continues. A really solid, consistent performance from the unseeded player and that was enough to down the more erratic Vaidisova.
5-1 -
Vaidisova produces double fault number six and then produces a wild forehand which brings up 30-40 and another break point. She saves that break point but Zheng gets two more due to exceptionally wild play again by Vaidisova - a woeful forehand on that third break point sees Zheng pick up the break and she is now serving for the match.
4-1 - Now we have an excellent service game from Zheng which she most certainly won as opposed to it being lost by Vaidisova - her second ace of the match seals a very nice hold to 15.
3-1 -
After dropping the first point Vaidisova produces three scintillating winners in a row on the back of good serves. Then she produces a double fault though and follows it with three more unforced errors in a row and she is broken. Zheng breaks but again the game is all about Vaidisova.
2-1 - Vaidisova looks set for a break when she goes 0-30 in front but then she hit four shots in a row either long or into the net as she looked to power her way to the game. Just a lack on control cost her there. You feel this match is all about her though. Zheng is more consistent but if Vaidisova can click into gear she should win.
1-1 - Love game from Vaidisova - Zheng trying to do a little too much in that game looking for winners that aren't on. She has profited from just keeping the ball in play and making Vaidisova make the errors so she should try and go back to that tactic.
1-0 - Nervy enough hold from Zheng - she was behind 15-30 in that game and had to go to deuce but she manages to hold - more down to overhit shots from Vaidisova though then by winners on her part.
- -
That is the first set that Zheng has lost in this tournament.
5-7 -
Another cracking backhand into the corner from Zheng sees her earn a break point. But Vaidisova fights back with some big serving. Zheng then goes long on set point - she asks for a challenge but in hope more than expectation - Hawkeye shows it out - and we are level.
5-6 -
ANOTHER BREAK FOR VAIDISOVA - she was all over the Zheng serve in that game and raced to a 0-40 advantage. Zheng saved the first break point but then produced a poor volley wide on the next point and Vaidisova has a chance to serve out the set. The last time she broke she was broken straight back though so the pressure is on.
5-5 - Very dominant serving from Vaidisova with the pressure on. An easy hold to 15 and we are going to have at least two more games.
5-4 - Another hold to love for Zheng who is playing so well here and Vaidisova now has to serve to stay in the match.
4-4 - Vaidisova holds to 30 but Zheng really making her work for everybody - the Chinese girl looking particularly strong on her backhand side.
4-3 - Some cracking shots in that last game. Vaidisova produces a couple of massive forehands which helps her earn a break point but then she goes a little wide. But then two superb backhands shots from one corner into the opposite one from Zheng helps her to hold. Fearless stuff from this Chinese girl who looks so mentally strong and fearless.
3-3 -
Zheng breaks straight back in some style with two stunning winners in a row - amazing stuff and she breaks to 30.
2-3 -
Vaidisova finally has break as she completes a break to 15. The final point was a winner right to the baseline - Zheng was convinced that the shot was out and asked for a challenge but it was just in and the Czech is now a break up in this second set.
2-2 - Vaidisova with a comfortable service game and you just feel she is on the brink of getting on top of things - but then - it has seemed that way for a while she has to make sure she doesn't run out of time.
2-1 - Zheng with a service game to love - the first love game of the match. She hasn't had too many easy holds but that was certainly one there.
1-1 - Nice hold by Vaidisova - she changes things up on one point with a lovely slice drop and the powers her way to a hold to 15.
1-0 - Zheng just keeps digging out these tough service games. She was 0-30 down there and needed to survive another few deuces but she holds once again. However, Vaidisova is close to finding the proper range with her big forehand and you feel she could overpower Zheng at any time.
6-2 -
Zheng's fairytale run continues - she has taken the first set with her second break of the match and it is handed to her on a plate as Vaidisova produces a double fault on the very first set point
5-2 - Vaidisova blows another three break points as Zheng moves one game away from the set. Vaidisova has the bigger shots here but she is trying to do too much and the Chinese girl is doing a very good job of staying the points. She puts a shot very deep on game point and Vaidisova fires into the net.
4-2 - Vaidisova looks in good shape when she gets her first serve in and she holds again to 30 but now she needs to find a break.
4-1 - Zheng manages to hold to 15 with a wild forehand on 40-0 being the only slip up.
3-1 - Vaidisova finally gets on the board with a very comfortable service game to love.
3-0 - Zheng seems to be dominating the game as she goes 40-0 in front but then she produces a double fault and the wheels start to come off. She ends up having to save three break points - all of which were ended by poor Vaidisova shots - and then she finally holds when the Czech can't return a good forehand into the corner.
2-0 -
A break from Zheng. She was getting to Vaidisova's shots so quickly and went 0-30 and 15-40 up. She goes long on the first break point but then the Czech produces a double fault to hand the game to the Chinese girl.
1-0 - Zheng holds in the opening game to 15 without too much trouble. She was getting a lot of power in her ground strokes despite being quite a small girl.
- - Here we go with Zheng serving in this opening game.
- - Vaidisova leads the head-to-head 2-0 but neither of those matches were on grass and they have not met since 2006.
- - Two players warming up at the moment - Vaidisova is the youngest player in the draw at 19 despite the fact that it seems like she has been around forever.

Welcome to this second semi-final on court one as the woman who knocked out Ana Ivanovic - Jie Zheng - takes on 18th seed Nicole Vaidisova.
