Great scampering in that game from Kerber - during one point in particular she really got all over the court to stay alive before Venus made an error.

  10. 0-1 - Big hold from Kerber to stay in the match really - she needed to save another break point but a great first serve set her up for that point and then she won the next two points to wrap up the hold.

  11. WIN - Seed falls in the women's draw - Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez has beaten 32nd seed Tamarine Tanasugarn.

  12. 6-3 - Igor Andreev in big danger of going out now - the 18th seed has lost the second set to Peter Polansky and is 2-0 down.

  14. 5-3 - Brilliant from Kerber - what guts she is showing - she saves three set points before winning her third game in a row. Venus has just switched off and is lucky she had those five games in hand.

  20. 2-0 - You already get the feeling that this could be a short match. Venue breaks straight away as she just shows too much power for Kerber.
