  1. 7-5 - JANKOVIC HAS THE WIN!! - An impressive game to finish the match - a hold to love. Jankovic wins in straight sets but there was nothing straightforward about that. She has some work to do before facing former quarter-finalist Ai Sugiyama in the third round.

  2. 6-5 - JANKOVIC HAS A BREAK - things just came unstuck for Flipkens in that game and she hit shots long or into the net and Jankovic manages to break to LOVE as a result.

  3. 5-5 - Another mixed bag from Jankovic - some superb winners but then some very dodgy stuff. Some of her serves are only hitting 60-70 mph. She manages to hold to 30 but this performance doesn't bode well for the rest of the tournament.

  4. 4-5 - Great overhead volley from Flipkens wraps up an all action point to clinch a service game to 30. She could very easily win this set despite the fact that she is getting more treatment on her back. She is enjoying the match of her life.

  5. 4-4 - FLIPKENS BREAKS - Jankovic seemed to be in control of the game early as Flipkens back was still giving her problems. But then Jankovic really tightens up - no power in her serve, no direction in her ground strokes. Flipkens breaks thanks to a lucky net chord but she earned that luck.

  6. - - The trainer out again - with Flipkens this time getting treatment on her back. Jankovic still unhappy with her shoes too.

  7. 4-3 - And Jankovic now manages to break again. On 30-30 Flipkins is JUST short with a drop attempt and then she goes long next point to hand the game to Jankovic.

  8. 3-3 - Jankovic levels matters in the set with a confident hold to love.

  9. 2-3 - BREAK BACK - Flipkens has to defend a break point but she shows no signs of nerves as she confidently strokes forehand after forehand before finding a winner. She then saves another break point with a line hugging backhand volley. However, on a third break point she fires long and Jankovic is back on serve.

  10. 1-3 - Flipkens BREAKS! - Jankovic twice leaves balls up at the middle of the court that the Belgian fires for winners. They are the two points that brought up break points. Jankovic saved the first but goes long on the second.

  11. 1-2 - Cracking forehand into the corner from Flipkens wraps up an impressive hold to love of her own. A couple of nice winners in that game from the Belgian.

  12. 1-1 - Jankovic had 91% of her first serves in during the first set and she continues to impress in that regard in this game as she holds to love without much fuss.

  13. 0-1 - Flipkens with a very important hold to start the second set - she managed it despite being 0-30 down early in the game.

  14. 6-4 - And Jankovic takes the set with a hold to love. The more winners and unforced errors were from Flipkens in that first set though which shows that she has been the aggressor.

  15. 5-4 - Lovely backhand down the line brings up two break points for Jankovic and on the second she gets the break as Flipkens puts a shot wide. Jankovic still messing with her feet at the changeover though so she is not 100% but she has a chance to serve for the opening set coming up.

  16. 4-4 - Jankovic is looking a little under the weather out there but survives a service game to 30. She was lucky again though as on 15-30 Flipkens put a smash long that would have brought up two break points.

  17. - - Jankovic now having a medical time out - it looks like she might have blisters on her toes.

  18. 3-4 - Flipkens backs up that break with a hold to 30 and she continues to impress.

  19. 3-3 - Flipkens BREAKS BACK - great stuff by the Belgian - Hawkeye got Jankovic out of jail when a mis-hit lob was show to have dropped just in on the first break point of the game. But then a cracking cross body forehand from Flipkens brought up another. Flipkens then forced Jankovic into an error with a clever drop and we are back level. Good imagaination and variety being shown by Flipkens so far.

  20. 3-2 - Jankovic now has the break - a break to 15 too - she just found better range in that game and started hitting the ball a little deeper. Flipkens couldn't cope with the step up in class and a poor volley into the net sees the Serb get the first break of the match.

  21. 2-2 - Jankovic is just not quite at the races in these early stages and she has to survive a break point for the second consecutive game. It remains Flipkins though who is firing the more impressive winners.

  22. 1-2 - Flipkens does very well to survive a long service game. She was 0-30 down and then had to play a few points on 40-40 but she never gave up a break point and managed to hold.

  23. 1-1 - Wonderful get from Flipkens sees her guide a backhand winner down the line to earn herself the first break point of the match. But Jankovic saves that and then produces two big serves in a row to level the match.

  24. 0-1 - Decent start from the Belgian outsider as she holds to 30 - some very enthusastic fans in the crowd too - a handful of people singing songs for both players - methinks booze could be involved!

  25. 0-0 - Flipkens serving in this opening game.

  26. - - One past meeting - Jankovic winning 6-2 6-3 at the 2006 US Open.

  27. - - A little bit about Flipkens - she is ranked 110 in the world, she turned 23 last week, and is looking to make the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time.

  28. - - Welcome to the second match of the day in the Hisense Arena as Jelena Jankovic - the world number one who has never won a Grand Slam - taking on Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium.
