Roddick eases through 6-3 6-4 6-2 to book a fourth-round meeting with Robredo. It was comfortable for the American, very comfortable indeed.

Roddick breaks!!! Surely the writing is on the wall for Santoro. Santoro appears to be tiring, which won't help his desperate cause, and you just cannot see him breaking the A-Rod serve.
2-2 - That game was a lesson in smashing from Roddick. Twice Santoro floated desperate returns into the air, twice Roddick pulverised the ball with aggressive smashes. He takes his service game to love to make it 2-2.
1-1 - The pair exchange holds of serve to start the third set.

Roddick takes the second set, but not without a fight from Santoro - who earns three break points but sees them all fritter away to the Roddick serve.
5-3 - Roddick blasts down another couple of aces and they move to 5-3. There is a sense of inevitability in this match. Santoro just does not look capable of making this competitive.
4-2 - Ten aces and counting for Roddick, who really does have a beast of a serve. You just cannot see Santoro breaking it.

Roddick earns three break points on the Santoro serve with a superb backhand volley winner. Santoro saves the first two, then fires down an ace to take to it deuce. But Roddick won't be denied. He takes the break to lead 3-2.
2-2 - Roddick is up to 134mph with his first serve, which as you can imagine Santoro is finding hard to get on top of.
0-1 - Santoro holds serve with the opening game of the second set. One rally sees Roddick come to the net and Santoro sends a lovely topspin winner past him.

Roddick thumps an ace to seal the first set 6-3. It's been a fairly one-sided affair thus far and unless Santoro does something very different this match is going to be over quickly.
5-2 - Another pair of games go with serve and the pressure is on Santoro, he will serve to stay in the first set.
4-1 - Santoro gets on the board, as the pair exchange holds to get to 4-1.

The early signs are not good for Santoro. Roddick muscles his way to a break and serves out in complete comfort to lead 3-0 in the opening set.
1-0 - A love service game gets Roddick off and running. Santoro hardly played a shot.
