  1. - - Thanks for joining me this evening for Zvonareva breezing through to the semi-finals; stick around, we have A-Rod v Djokovic next!

  2. 0-6 - Triple match-point for Zvoni...she fires a backhand long to waste the first...it would be the biggest comeback of all time if Bartoli managed to pull something out here...but Zvoni puts away a backhand winner to seal it!

  3. 0-5 - Zvoni doesn't exactly need luck on her side at the moment...she is wooping Bartoli as it is...but she gets a huge chunk of fortune when a forehand clips the top of the net and drops in to seal another break!

  4. 0-4 - Bartoli is trying to go for her shots, but she is completely gone...she has just ran out of gas...there's nothing in the tank...she's running on fumes out there.

  5. 0-3 - All the puff seems to have gone out of Bartoli...she leans on her racquet after almost every point....this heat has claimed a number of players over the course of the last couple of days...deuce...AND AFTER FOUR DEUCES, ZVONI BREAKS AGAIN!

  6. 0-2 - Zvoni is on top of this match now; she breaks Bartoli immediately; the Frenchie looks to be suffering a little with the heat - she just isn't chasing down balls that you might expect her to.

  7. 0-0 - Bartoli has gone off for a toilet break at the end of that first set...she emerges into the sunlight with a bag of ice draped around her shoulders like a mock-fur scarf.

  8. 3-6 - An ace down the tee earns Zvoni a set-point in this topsy-turvey set...up comes her racquet...serve to the Batoli backhand...the return finds the net...ZVONAREVA TAKES THE FIRST SET.

  9. 3-5 - THIS IS A PECULIAR MATCH! Zvoni gets herself a couple of break-points...Bartoli saves the fist with a wicked wrong-footing backhand winner...but ZVONI CLAIMS THE BREAK WHEN BARTOLI SLICES WIDE!

  10. 3-4 - Now Zvoni gets her nose in front for the firsy time in the match; the taller, more powerful player isn't exactly going for the lines, but she is finding enough of the corner to out-work Bartoli.

  11. 3-3 - Tough game for Bartoli..WHO IS BROKEN AGAIN! Neither player is able to pull away! Bartoli's serve, even her first serve, is weak enough for Zvoni to climb into.

  12. 3-2 - Zvoni holds for the first time in the match as Bartoli rather loses her concentration; Zvoni looks to be feeling the heat a little; she towels down thoroughly in between games.

  13. 3-1 - BOOM! Bartoli finally drives home her breaks with two fizzing double-handed backhands into the corner to hold and move into a two-game lead.

  14. 2-1 - WOULD YOU ADAM AND EVE IT? A third successive break, sealed with a pounding backhand from the dark-haired star; she has got some staggering power from the baseline.

  15. 1-1 - Bartoli, very deliberate in her serving, fails to consolidate the break as the strong, stocky Zvoni breaks back immediately. It's already got the hallmarks of a rollercoaster thriller, this one.

  16. 1-0 - EARLY BREAK! Bartoli is fast out of the blocks! She breaks to 30 to stun Zvoni, who finds herself on the back foot from the off.

  17. 0-0 - OFF WE GO! HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS!

  18. - - The ladies are out on the blistering heat of court, and just going through their final warm-ups; this is going to be a belter.

  19. - - Hi there; welcome to the first women's quarter-final at the 2009 Australian Open.
