  1. 00:19 - Thanks for joining us tonight. We will be back again tomorrow from 19:00 UK time for the women's final with the Nadal v Murray final due to start around about 21:00 UK time, so join us then

  2. 00:17 - So Nadal will face Andy Murray is tomorrow's final. That was a solid win for the Spanish world number one but Murray should have much more to trouble him that Roddick did today

  3. 7-6 - One is enough though and NADAL BOOKS HIS PLACE IN THE FINAL racing up to a short ball from Roddick and sending it deep into the backhand court of the American. Roddick tries to go for the passing shot down the line but under pressure from Nadal, who is scampering across to cover the line, he pushes the ball wide to hand Nadal victory

  4. 6-4 - Nadal holds on the mini-break before firing an ace out wide to earn himself TWO MATCH POINTS ...

  5. 4-2 - Roddick makes a great start to the breaker, taking the first two points, but Nadal quickly recovers and leads by the mini-break at the change of ends. Roddick just doesn't seem agressive enough at times, trying to push a backhand passing shot past Nadal on the last point before the change of ends ... but the Spaniard gets to it easily and volleys it away for the winner

  6. 6-6 - It's tiebreak time, folks! Nadal holds to 15 running round his backhand to drill a forehand straight down the line for a winner.

  7. 5-6 - Great work from Roddick as he holds with consecutive aces - after getting himself in a spot of bother at 15-30 down. Nadal will have to serve to stay in the set after the change of ends

  8. 5-5 - Roddick's forehand is doing some real damage now as he earns himself another break point ... and THE AMERICAN BREAKS BACK. Nadal's inside out forehand across court is called out, the Spaniard challanges but hawkeye shows the call to have been correct and we are back on level terms in this second set

  9. 5-4 - A love service game from Roddick to force Nadal to serve out the match ... the American jogs back to his chair though. He seems upbeat - he certainly hasn't had a lack of chances to get himself back into this match

  10. 5-3 - Nadal fires a backhand passing shot into the open court before Roddick pushes his backhand down the line wide and it that the match gone now for the American? He will serve to stay in the match

  11. 40-40 - Roddick with a chance to get himself back on level terms as Nadal sends his backhand down the centre of the court well deep of the baseline ... but somehow Nadal escapes when Roddick hits into the net. Nadal pushes a forehand down the line wide and Roddick will have a second chance to break ... again though Nadal escapes as the American puts his attempted backhand passing shot into the top of the net

  12. 4-3 - Nadal sets up a third chance to break whipping a forehand passing shot past Roddick ... but the American comes up with an ace out wide to save it. A fourth chance is gifted to Nadal when Roddick hits wide ... and this time NADAL BREAKS, getting down low to his backhand and drilling it down the line for a winning passing shot

  13. 40-40 - Nadal earns himself a break point after racing up to a short forehand volley from Roddick before the American hits into the net ... Roddick saves it bravely coming up the net once again and putting away a forehand volley. Nadal sets up a set chance to break with a forehand passing shot ... but again Roddick saves it with an inside out, cross court forehand winner wrong-footing Nadal

  14. 3-3 - Nadal holds to slow Roddick's momentum, but he still has to hold from 15-30 down

  15. 2-3 - Roddick is right back in this set now as he holds to 30 with a solid game

  16. 2-2 - Roddick earns himself a break back point, the swirling wind working to his advantage ... Nadal thinks he's saved it with a serve out wide but the ball was called out (hawkeye confirms it) and RODDICK BREAKS BACK when Nadal sends his forehand long of the baseline

  17. 2-1 - Nadal really seems to be on form today and Roddick can simply see no way past him. Roddick is slowly but surely losing his confidence to try as Nadal breaks despite a fourth ace from the American

  18. 1-1 - Once again Roddick makes in-roads on the Nadal serve but once again the world number one comes up with the big serves just when it matters and he recovers from 0-30 to hold to 30

  19. 0-1 - Ace number four from Roddick sees the American hold for the opening game of this second set

  20. 6-4 - Nadal is cruising in this match as he serves out the set to 15 whipping a forehand across court at an acute angle for the winner

  21. 5-4 - Roddick recovers his composure to halt Nadal's run of three straight games and force the Spaniard to serve out the set

  22. 5-3 - Roddick makes a great start on the Spaniard's serve racing out to a 0-30 lead but Nadal quickly ups his level, recovering with some huge serves and holds to leave him just one game from the set

  23. 4-3 - Nadal comes up with a couple of stunning forehand passing shots early in the game to help him set up two break points ... Roddick fails to put away a smash and Nadal whips a forehand right back at the American. Roddick does manage to get his racquet in between the ball and his body but his shot has little control, it drops wide and NADAL HAS THE BREAK

  24. 3-3 - This match is going to come down to who can maintain their service rhythm the longest - Nadal holds to keep things level despite his second double fault of the match

  25. 2-3 - Roddick wraps up his second successive love service game coming out on top of a rally for once when Nadal runs round his backhand and pulls the forehand down the line wide

  26. 2-2 - A better service game from Nadal as he holds to love to put the pressure back on to the Roddick serve

  27. 1-2 - Another couple of aces from Roddick seal another easy service game - the American keeps his nose in front

  28. 1-1 - Nadal is battling to find his rhythm in the opening games of this match and that gifts Roddick an early break point ... Nadal comes up with a massive serve when it really counts and Roddick sends his return of serve wide. Nadal goes on to hold

  29. 0-1 - A solid start from Roddick as he holds to 30 to get off the mark. An interesting tactic from the American there right from the start as he serves and volleys, with some success, to hold

  30. 0-0 - Here we go then, this is to see who will face Murray in the final. Roddick will get the match underway ...

  31. 22:22 - The players are out on court already and going through their warm-up so we should be getting underway in about 10 minutes time

  32. 22:21 - Only a fool would fail to back the world number one heading into this match, but Roddick enjoying a bit of a resurgence these past 10 days at Indian Wells so it should be an intriguing match up

  33. 22:18 - Three of those six meetings came last year, with Nadal triumphing in the later two of them, in straight sets. You have to go back to Dubai early last year for Roddick's last win over Nadal. That win was also in straight sets by the way.

  34. 22:16 - Nadal and Roddick have faced each other six times before, with the world number one leading the head-to-heads 4-2

  35. 22:15 - So Andy Murray has already booked his place in the final and now it is Rafael Nadal and Andy Roddick's turn to try and earn the right to challenge him

  36. 22:12 - Hello and welcome to Eurosport Yahoo!'s LIVE coverage of the Indian Wells semi-finals
