  1. well today lost for Nadal at Roland Garros is a very good example to all players. You dont play to win everything. nadal wanted to do that this year and finally he ended up losing more and ending his winning streak on clay. Firstly he wanted to win all the three masters on clay in one season something which has never been done before. That was too much work for him and he ended up losing in madrid. Everybody can see with me that the losing in madrid put together how many games he has played brought too much fatique which led to his defeat today. If you have been watching all his matches at roland garros this year you should have noticed already that this was not going to be his year. He has been finding difficulties in all his matches. Nevertheless his opponent today played at his best also. So I give credit to Sonderling for such a good performance. Good luck Roger. My money is on you.

  3. #383 Do you even know the French Open draw?

Anyway, I thought Rafa was gracious in defeat and it would have happened sooner or later. Although he said that he didn't play well, I think Soderling played him great by wrong footing him several times. But Soderling's game is very limited.

  4. I read most of the comments.. What has happened to morals in this world.. All the remarks I read show how low people can go... If Nadal lost this time, it is not the end of the world.. nobody can win all the tournaments, This is pure mathematics... does not work... Soderling played a great game today and should be commended for the effort he put into the game.. Nadal, bad luck and look forward to see you in the future slams and tournaments.. and commentators please be sportive and sensible ... Bad language and hatred takes us nowhere...

  5. I had the same feeling as some of the Fed fans when seeing the final score. Finally, a great opportunity for Fed. However, I don't like some of the harsh comments on Rafa or Fed. Sports is great because you won't know what's going to happen. You might like to watch Kobe vs. Lebron NBA final, or the NBA and TV execs more so than you do, but the better teams and players (at the moment) will meet in the final. Accept this simple truth!

  6. It is really strange and silly how many experts are on this forum?! Nole lost, Ana lost, Nadal lost, so WHAT?! They are only humans. I love tennis, and all these young people, who are working very hard, and it is not nice to be so critical.
All the best to all of them!!!

  7. I am so happy Nadal lost. He is going to end up wearing himself out with bad knees cuz he goes too hard all the time. It's finally catching up with him ..have never been his fan. Roger will be #1 again soon...

  9. Well Well Well, I am not a Nadal fan but if there is anything I live about Nadal it is his humility and the respect that he has for his fellow players, this is a guy that have openly admitted that there is no way he can be compared to Federer becos he knows what it takes to win a grandslam four times in a role and he made that statement also becos he understood the pressure in remaining number one for a long time now Mr. TOMMY befor u go on blabing by comparing Nadal and Federer seat down and take note, there are more hungry and dangerous grandslam seekers now we just saw Nadal beating by a well taught number 23, Djokovic, Del Porto, Murray, Vardasco, Tsonga are couple of players that will continue to give Nadal sleepless night as he tries to win more grandslams, due to Nadals power play he will hardly make it to 11 grandslams before quiting the game, some of you wonder why Federer plays such a slow and powerless game, well it is the secrete of winning grandslams and remaining fit without injuries, you are claiming Nadal is not 100% fit well he just defeated Hywitt (ex-Number 1) in three straight set and u claim he is not 100% fit, please come up with another excuse he is more than 100% fit, he just played someone that knew his secret just as he also knew Federer's secret. Fans of Fedex it is not over until it is over even Federer knows this. ENJOY TENNIS EVERYONE

I agree with u perfectly word to word except for 3 things:
    1) The comments about Nadal's doping are just rummors borne out of is titannic stamina and shouldn't ever be into question. Fed 4 exemple has troumendous playtime, because he saves energy and can play 4 long time that way. Nadal simply is a colosus endurance kind of guy and that is it!
    2) The incident with the cameraman waz I think as the guy tried to emphasize every aspect of Nadals face as he was trying to submerge into the spaniard sadness and missfortune. A totally intrusive thing to do. And just 1 sec after Nadal pushed him away he apologied slightly with his hand, humble like always, especially after such an unexpected, understandable mistake showing the complete sadness he was experiencing...that is something I do not garantee I would do. Probably I would have smacked his god damn head! :D Just joking. Nadal was great in that moment, just like a child who hit with his bicycle a little kitty, he apologised and keep on going as the kitty was bit haotic walking inthere, and ok at the end. :p
    3) And the most unagreable thing u've said, is about Nadal chewing on his trophies. Well I do give up is a bit ennoyig after he beats Fed, but it is nothing to show of there. As it started to a masters he first won and didn't expect, and the poor guy didn't know what to do and did something an the top of his head. And that remained a trademark, what the hec should he do, rise the trophy over his head like damn Gerrard!? No, he just dose that silly little thing cuz of what he is acostumed to, not like probably others who already have great new triks for the media in case of winning.
Nadal is a great guy, he is top human spirit, and Fed is also a grat guy cuz he has a spirit like an innocent boy that dose everything out of pure talent and imagination.
They are both Gigantic Characters and the ones that don't see that should check first a psihologist 'cu

  11. @ Brian; "Sorry Verdasco & Federer on Finals as most expected."

It looks like Verdasco is on his way out too. He is two sets down !!

From Tim, on Sun 31 May 5:58PM
  12. Nadal's fans should just accept the fact that he lost . Stop making stupid excuses . Have some class for a change !!

From Tim, on Sun 31 May 5:56PM
  13. Really? Such shame on you too coz your favorite player Nadal knockdown and stunned by Soderling. You may accept bro! Doesn't care for you bro if no. 1 upset by rank no. 23. But the player on the other hand in his quarter room, Nadal is so sad coz he expected in French Open most. Same what happen in Madrid Open bro! Sorry Verdasco & Federer on Finals as most expected.

From Tennisters, on Sun 31 May 5:54PM
  14. sorry for my language but it is true. I can't mentioned it in other words. Anyway, we can expect good players have good games and good fun too!

From Tennisters, on Sun 31 May 5:47PM
  15. Besides, Soderling's great game... No 5 consecutive titles for Nadal as much as there were no 5 consecutive ones for Federed at Wimbledon. Divine (and unexpected) justice does happen :)

  16. Comment hidden due to its low rating. Show

Wow,what a sad day in tennis history! Can't escape the fact that Nadal is still NO 1 and the rest trails.Such a shame as the French Open is not worth watching now...I predict a Sharapova / Safina & Murray / Davydenko final.Federer eat clay bro!

From Jacques, on Sun 31 May 5:45PM
  17. I dont understand why this people don't accept that RAFA was lost to rank no. 23. The other people reason is he lost due to not played well and with his best. NO! NO! NO! NO! that is not true & wrong reasons, Nadal played well on his best, very well conditioned, no injured, and have power. But Soderling have enough power of what Nadal has. The best of NAdal is not enough to defeat rank no.23 Soderling. Sorry for Nadal, it's time now for losing seasons. You see Djokovic the first top 4 knockdown and Nadal, and then who knows?

From Tennisters, on Sun 31 May 5:39PM
  18. First L.... yeah, I won't write such stupid comments. However, I am not taking it too personal if u think so. you are! However, I am also an admirer of both Nadal and Federer; but I support Federer for his elegance and good game. I do appreciate you too are but please, there is nothing personal in saying you are a fake Fed fan. Anyway, u r free to support who u do. Sorry for saying u are a fake fan and making it sound personal.

Feeeeddddddddeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrreeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrr is gonna win now with ease! yet, even if he met Nadal again in the final, he would still have beaten him. bring it on!

  19. i'm so sorry that Rafa is out :(

    From djgerymk3, on Sun 31 May 5:35PM
  20. Yes at last where are now the RAFANEANS! Rafa encountered more power than him. He thinks he is the man. Ms. Dementieva is right that RAFA will not pass Semifinal match. Rafa style is not existing anymore. If he will stop smelling his @#$% during serve maybe he can win. At the end, Federer is still the best. Go, Go, Go! Federer. Federer still the true champion.
