16:21 - That is a fantastic win for the world number nine who will face world number one Dinara Safina in the quarter-finals
3-6 -
AND THERE IS THE WIN FOR AZARENKA. Ivanovic hits another error - this time a forehand long and the Belarussian is into the quarter-finals of Roland Garros
30-40 - Azarenka has to battle back from 15-30 down but she does so when Ivanovic hits long before going on to earn herself a first match point when the Serb hits into the net ...
3-5 -
And the Serb breaks back once again with a sunlime drop shot that Azarenka does almost get too but it's too late and the ball is too low
40-30 - Ivanovic runs round a backhand to hit a forehand return of serve winner and bring up another break back point ...
2-5 -
And AZARENKA DOES RE-ESTABLISH THE DOUBLE BREAK LEAD as she comes up with another stunning backhand winner this time on the return of serve. That leaves her serving for the match after the change of ends
15-40 - Azarenka brings up another two break points with a backhand winner than lands smack on the sideline ...
2-4 -
IVANOVIC BREAKS BACK! and the crowd are getting really into this now. Azarenka saves one break point with a great backhand drop shot but Ivanovic quickly earns herself another and this time she does get one of the breaks back with a pin-point backhand cross court winner
1-4 - IVANOVIC IS ON THE SCOREBOARD IN THIS SECOND SET! as she holds to 30 when Azarenka only just misses a cross court backhand. Ivanovic doesn't look unhappy particularly as she walks back to the chair and she certainly doesn't look angry. She just looks, well, absent really.
0-4 - Azarenka could take a bagel set off Ivanovic here at this rate as she cruised through another service hold to leave her potentially just two games away from one of the biggest, if not THE biggest, win of her career
0-3 -
Azarenka breaks again, to take a very comfortable lead in this match, with an inside out backhand winner
0-2 - Azarenka holds again with relative ease as she cements the break. Whatever is going on with Ivanovic, she has nothing out on court just at the moment. It's like the Cibulkova-Szavay match from earlier on today
0-1 -
This time, Azarenka does get the break when Ivanovic hits a cross court backhand just wide, although the call is very late and Ivanovic gets the umpire down to check the mark
40-Ad - Ivanovic quickly follows that double fault with an ace but she just can't win consecutive games at the minute and a backhand error from her gives Azarenka another chance
40-Ad - The third chance goes begging for Azarenka as she hits a forehand return into the net but a double fault from Ivanovic leaves her staring down a fourth break point
40-Ad - This time Ivanovic produces a backhand cross court winner to level back at deuce but again Azarenka is quickly to produce a third attempt with another forehand winner
40-Ad - Ivanovic saves it with a cross court forehand but Azarenka quickly sets up a second with a forehand winner ...
30-40 - Azarenka earns herself another break point as she somehow beats Ivanovic with a drop shot despite the Serb being seemingly in control of the point ...
2-6 -
Simple in the end for Azarenka as she takes the first set when Ivanovic hits the top of the table and watches as the ball bounces back on her side of the net. Whatever the problem is, Ivanovic is certainly looking flat out on court
2-5 -
Sure enough Ivanovic did have both the trainer and the tournament doctor out on the court during the change of ends and she seems to be having some kind of problem with her neck. She didn't have an injury time-out though just an assessment during the change of ends so it remains to be seen how troublesome the problem is. Either way Azarenka will serve for the set
2-5 -
Azarenka earns herself another break point by placing the ball straight on the line. Ivanovic goes up to check the mark but doesn't have the umpire down to check, and the Belarussian does get the break when Ivanovic hits wide. It looks like Ivanovic called for the trainer in the middle of that game as she headed forward and asked the umpire something. Azarenka clearly isn't impressed though as she smiles wryly at the move
2-4 - Azarenka holds once again to 30 to maintain her break lead
2-3 - Ivanovic holds to remain just the one break down with a telegraphed drop shot that nonetheless has enough backspin on it to beat Azarenka
1-3 - Which the Belarussian promptly does after another forehand into the net from Ivanovic!
40-Ad - But consecutive forehands into the net see the chance go begging for Ivanovic and Azarenka will have the chance to hold ...
Ad-40 - Ivanovic batters a forehand return of serve straight down the line to set up an immediate break back point ...
1-2 -
As if to prove me wrong, Azarenka immediately breaks from deuce with an absolutely blistering backhand passing shot across court
1-1 - Azarenka has to work hard to hold her first service game of the match being pushed to deuce by the solid looking Ivanovic
1-0 - A solid opening service game from the world number eight as she holds with a blistering forehand across court that beats Azarenka for pace
0-0 -
Ivanovic will serve first to get the clash underway ...
14:57 -

she gets one break back, lets see if she can dig herself out of it
HAHAHA poor Ana !
Oh dear, I tried to warn BomPark2009 about this possibility but unlike me he was a blind gambler and just plotted the path for ana's victory like i had done until i saw her first match. she just was not in supreme physical conditioning to last out this grand slam. I am convinced Ana has the top talent and class to win plenty more slams when she is fitter.
4 zip in set two already
ajde!!!
Azarenka a set up and two breaks up already
