  1. 4-6 - GAME SET AND MATCH. Ferrero's ace is challenged by Darcis, it is revealed that the ball was in and the Spaniard has three match points. The first is saved by Darcis, but he puts his backhand long on the next point, handing victory to Ferrero.

  2. 4-5 - It looks like it could be all over when Ferrero gets out to a 0-30 lead. Darcis takes all the remaining points, sealing the game with some serve and volley.

  3. 3-5 - darcis hangs with ferrero to deuce, but then the Spaniard comes into his own. He hits a killer double handed backhand past Darcis to get him within one game of the semi-final.

  4. 3-4 - Ferrero gets Darcis on the run, the Belgian gets further and further behind the baseline and the Spaniard slams a forehand past him. That gives him two break point opportunities which he puts long and has another chance at deuce, which is also put long. He takes the next one though with a lob over Darcis' head as the Belgian moved to the net.

  5. 3-3 - Ferrero gets Darcis on the run, moving him left and right, the Belgian eventually runs out of energy and clips the ball into the net. Ferrero follows that up with an ace and wins the game when Darcis hits a forehand long.

  6. 3-2 - Darcis slams an ace down the middle and then peppers Ferrero with forehands which the Spaniard eventually clips long.

  7. 2-2 - Ferrero is getting into the spirit of things, he has his Wimbledon whites on and participates in a spot of serve and volley. He then seals the game with a serve out wide and then a forehand into the open space. Classical stuff.

  8. 2-1 - Darcis is furious! He throws down his raquet at his frustration at allowing Ferrero to get a break point. He recovered though to hold his serve.

  9. 1-1 - Ferrero has no such problems on his serve.

  10. 1-0 - Darcis slams the vall into the net and then puts one long to allow Ferrero into the game, he saves it with some serve and volley though.

  11. 3-6 - A double handed backhand down the line seals the game and the set for Ferrero, he holds to love.

  12. 3-5 - Ferrero slams a return into the net, he is now serving for the set.

  13. 2-5 - Ferrero is now just one game away from taking the second set.

  14. 2-4 - Darcis snaps Ferrero's run of games, he remains the break down.

  15. 1-4 - And he cements his break with a hold to love.

  16. 1-3 - Ferrero finally takes advantage of Darcis' mistakes and he has the break in the second set.

  17. 1-2 - Darcis' challenge was in vein and Ferrero holds his serve.

  18. 1-1 - Ferrero slams a forehand into the net which flies into Darcis standing the other side of the net. He shows some good reactions and good touch to clip the ball over.

  19. 0-1 - Ferrero does well to hold on, he gives Darcis a 0-30 lead and then faces a break point at deuce. he fights back and takes the game.

  20. 6-4 - And Darcis does serve out the first set, he holds to love.

  21. 5-4 - Ferrero's serve outwide cannot be returned by Darcis. The Belgian is now serving for the first set.

  22. 5-3 - Darcis again misses an easy shot, this time a smash. Ferrero needs to be more ruthless when Darcis makes mistakes.

  23. 4-3 - Darcis takes the break at the first time of asking on ferrero's second serve. He scoops the ball up for Darcis and he smashes the ball into the empty court.

  24. 3-3 - A big serve out wide and then a forehand to the opposite corner holds the service game for Darcis.

  25. 2-3 - Ferrero has the whole court open to him and he tries to whip a forehand into the empty space, he pushes it wide though to make it 40-30. No bother, he takes the next point with ease.

  26. 2-2 - Darcis seals the game with a long forehand from Ferrero.

  27. 1-2 - Ferrero is yet to miss a first serve today and holds to 30 when his opponent hits wide with a cross court backhand return of serve. Darcis is already causing the Spaniard some troubles with his incredibly low sliced backhand though and that could be a good tactic on the heavy grass today as while Ferrero is still very fit, at 29 years old he is not as quick as he once was

  28. 1-1 - Darcis seals his hold with an ace out wide.

  29. 0-1 - A smashed forehand ricochets off of Darcis' raquet and that gives the Spaniard the first game.

  30. 0-0 - Ferrero will serve first and get the match started.

  31. - - Steve Darcis finds himself on court today after Gael Monfils pulled out of the tournament yesterday. Darcis and Ferrero have never met on a tennis court before.

  32. - - Welcome to LIVE coverage of the first of todays quarter final matches. Juan Carlos Ferrero and Steve Darcis are making their way on to court and will be making the coin toss shortly.
