  1. - - Murray is the first British man to reach the final here since 2002. He'll face either James Blake or four-times champion Andy Roddick in the final. Stick around for that all-American semi-final, coming right up.

  2. 6-4 - A Murray serve-volley winner, an ace, an overhit Ferrero forehand from Ferrero and finally a return into the net and Andy Murray reaches the Queen's Club final!

  3. 5-4 - An outstanding forehand winner from Ferrero as the ball bounced up right at his feet. Another winner, this time a two-handed backhand, is enough to see him hold, but Murray will fancy his chances of serving the match out now.

  4. 5-3 - Another ace whizzes past Ferrero, but at 40-15 Murray serves up his first double fault of the match. a nice bakchand volley at the net is enough to see him hold though.

  5. 4-3 - What a point from Murray! Ferrero sent him so far out of court but Murray returned well, and the Spaniard's drop shot kicks up nicely for Murray to run on to and push a winner past him and go on to earn the break!

  6. 3-3 - Murray didn't get his knuckles dressed during the changeover, but the blood on his fingers doesn't stop him delivering his seventh ace en route to holding to love.

  7. 2-3 - Murray's form has dipped just as Ferrero is in the ascendancy. The former French Open champion sends Murray from one side to the other before smashing home at the net, but Murray levels at deuce with a clinical two-hander acorss court. He goes for a carbon copy of that winner but this time it's dragged wide, but he levels with another solid return. Ferrero holds with another volleyed smash. Murray's knuckles are bleeding after he punched his strings in frustration.

  8. 2-2 - Murray's forehand return sees him leave the court wide open for a Ferrero winner - the Spaniard is finally making a fist of breaking his opponent's serve. On Murray's second serve Ferrero drives a forehand winner away from him for deuce, but agains fails to convert.

  9. 1-2 - Ferrero is finally finding some sort of form in this match, although Murray still forces his serve to deuce, even earning advantage but then hitting long before Ferrero holds.

  10. 1-1 - The best rally of the match ends with a thunderous two-handed backhand from Ferrero that gives Murray no chance. Murray responds with a ferocious ace, then another, and then another for 40-30! His fourth ace is denied by an out call, and then he hits the net for deuce, but Ferrero can't compete and Murray holds.

  11. 0-1 - Ferrero's first serve swings out but Murray manages to hook a two-handed backhand right back across his opponent for the winner - a great return that earns him two break points. Ferrero saves one with his first ace of the match, and the other with an unreturnable serve, and he goes on to hold a vital service game.

  12. 6-2 - Ferrero is 0-15 up and reads the slice well but fails to dispatch a winner at the net. He then fails to make the most of two Murray second serves and the British number one cruises to take the first set.

  13. 5-2 - Murray is unfortunate to see a one-hnaded at full stretch land just the worng side of the line. After that his focus goes temporarily, finding the net with a simple drop shot, allowing Ferrero to hold.

  14. 5-1 - Murray fires a smash at the net right at Ferrero, but the Spaniard can't react quickly enough to steer a shot into court. Murray fires off another ace to hold.

  15. 4-1 - Murray sprints to the net before skidding to a halt and cheekily lifting the ball over the net. His struggles to return serve lift Ferrero up to deuce, however. Ferrero serves an ace on advantage, but Murray challenges correctly. Murray earns advantage - Ferrero is unlucky to see his forehand skip off the top of the net and out, but it's hard to argue Murray doesn't deserve to be two breaks up.

  16. 3-1 - A deftly disguised Murray lob over Ferrero drops comfortably inside the baseline. He follows that up with an ace on his second serve before Ferrero hits the net, and Murray hits another lovely winner to end a nice rally and the game.

  17. 2-1 - Ferrero allows himself to be wrongfooted by a Murray forehand that proves to be a winner. He fails to return from behind the baseline at full stretch and Murray levels at 30-30, but two poor returns from the Scot get Ferrero on the board.

  18. 2-0 - Murray - whose grandmother makes the best shortbread in the world so we're told - races into a 40-0 lead. Notwithstanding one wild shank into the crowd, he holds virtually unchallenged.

  19. 1-0 - Murray goes 0-30 up thanks in part to a drilled backhand winner down the line. Ferrero pulls back to 30-30 but his backhand volley at the net is not strong enough and Murray fires a winner across him to earn a break point. The Spaniard hits the net and Murray breaks in the opening game!

  20. - - Juan Carlos Ferrero will open serve in this semi-final.

  21. - - The players are walking out on court now. We'll be underway in just a few minutes time.

  22. - - The Red Arrows have just flown overhead - a little reminder of the British hopes invested in the 22-year-old Scot.

  24. - - There are several big clouds obscuring the otherwise blue sky this afternoon, but the players will probably by more bothered by the wind than any rain delays.

  25. - - However, Ferrero is also yet to drop a set in West London, although he came thorugh his first round match against Sebastien Grosjean aftr the frenchman pulled out in the second set.

  26. - - The world number three has eased on to grass following his quarter-final exit at Roland Garros at the hands of clay specialist Fernando Gonzalez, and has brushed aside Andreas Seppi, Guillermo Garcia Lopez and even Mardy Fish with reltive ease.

  27. - - British number one Andy Murray has a great chance to make the final at Queens as he takes on Spain's former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero.
