  1. - - Andy Roddick has sadly had to retire from this match, so it will be James Blake who faces Andy Murray in the final tomorrow. Fingers crossed that A-Rod can recover in time for Wimbledon.

  2. 4-4 - A-Rod looks as though he's limping a little as he hits a forehand wide. It doesn't stop him firing yet another ace on the next point though, and two wayward Blake returns see him hold.

  3. - - Roddick has had his ankle taped up and he looks good to go.

  4. - - Roddick is finally getting that ankle checked out, so he takes his permitted medical time-out. His right ankle buckled slightly on the point where the turf meets the concrete.

  5. 4-3 - Blake is just as ruthless on his serve, though he only serves up the one ace en route to holding to love.

  6. 3-3 - It looks as though Roddick has recovered from his earlier slips - one of the two straight aces he hit on his way to holding was 147mph!

  7. 3-2 - Blake has certainly started this match on the front foot, and he hits another terrific forehand winner past his Davis Cup colleague. Roddick overhits a return and we're still on serve here.

  8. 2-2 - Another solid return from Blake goes out of Roddick's reach, before sending a great one-handed backhand down the line. Roddick is off balance again as he hits a forehand into the net - did he injure himself in that previous slip? Anyway, he's is now defending two break points. Blake sends one into the net, and Roddick then drills a forehand winner across court for deuce. An ace sees him eventually hold.

  9. - - SPOTTED: Australia fast bowler Brett Lee is in the crowd. Surely he's got somewhere more important to be? Oh.

  10. 2-1 - Blake ruthlessly dispatches a return that bounces up in front of him. He then lobs Roddick, who messes up the hot dog and loses the game. The add to his humiliation, his then slips on the edge of the turf!

  11. 1-1 - Roddick pulls a forehand wide and Blake has a break point, only the second Roddick has faced in the whole tournament. He saves it with a delicate drop shot over the net that Blake just can't get to. Blake fails to convert, though, and the four-times champ holds.

  12. 1-0 - Roddick challenges an out call on the baseline on the very first point, and gets it. Blake isn't rattled though, and goes on to hold quickly. Probably won't be the last quick, no-nonsense service game of this match.

  13. - - It will be the man from Yonkers to open the serve.

  14. - - James Blake, once as high as number four in the world, has a tough task here - he is 6-2 down against Roddick in the ATP head-to-head.

  15. - - Roddick, the second seed here, may be going for his fifth Queen's title since 2003, but victory this year would go a long way to enhancing his credentials as a genuine Wimbledon contender.

  16. - - These two are fighting for the right to face Andy Murray in sunday's final, after the world number three beat Juan Carlos Ferrero earlier.

  17. - - It's an all-American affair in the second semi-final at Queen's Club as James Blake takes on four-times champion Andy Roddick.
