17:23 - So that is a great win for Azarenka who is through to the fourth round at Wimbledon for the first time. But Cirstea is definately someone to keep an eye on as she performed very well in the early stages of that match but could not quite sustain the effort. Once she gets her final school exams out of the way in August, expect to see a lot more from the Romanian!
6-3 -
No is the simple answer as Azarenka serves out the match to love when Cirstea dumps a tricky forehand volley into the net
5-3 - A solid service game from Cirstea, despite his first double fault of the match, to force Azarenka to serve it out. The Romanian will be well aware of Azarenka's propensity to struggle when closing out matches ... but it remains to be seen whether that'll be a problem today
5-2 - Azarenka holds to love once again with a service winner out wide and Cirstea will have to serve to stay in this match
4-2 - Another hold for Cirstea as she puts a lucky net cord by Azarenka behind her to seal the game with a forehand winner but you can't held but feel that unless the Belarussian suffers a massive collapse, it is Azarenka's match
4-1 - A small glimpse of hope for Cirstea as she batters a couple of baseline winners before Azarenka slams the door shut. The Romanian smacks a couple of desperate ground-strokes into the net trying to find a way back into this match but the pressure is almost relentless now from Azarenka
3-1 - A very important hold for Cirstea as Azarenka hits an angled cross court backhand wide followed by a forehand down the centre of the court long. The Romanian remains just the one break down now and clenches her fist, fully aware of the imporatance of that game
3-0 - Azarenka's very impressive start to the second set continues as she holds to love to cement the early break
2-0 -
The first break of the match goes the way of Azarenka as Cirstea hits a forehand down the line into the net. The Romanian is beginning to struggle with Azarenka's length hitting
1-0 - A couple of double faults in the opening game of the second set threaten to hurt Azarenka as Cirstea has a couple of break points but the Belarussian recovers and holds to put Cirstea under real pressure
7-6 -
But one is all it takes as the Belarussian works her way up the court before slapping a cross court backhand drive volley into the open court to take the lead
TB6-2 -
Azarenka batters a cross court backhand winner to bring up four set points ...
TB4-2 -
Just a few errors from the Cirstea racquet as she batters a forehand long to hand Azarenka a mini-break 4-2 lead at the change of ends
6-6 -
A great forehand stop volley from Azarenka forces the tie-break. So far this year the Belarussian has played six breakers and she's won five of them so she'll be fairly confident heading into this. Cirstea will be pretty confident as well though as she has had the edge throughout this opening set
5-6 - Great battling spirit from Cirstea as she comes through a service hold to 40 much to the crowds delight. The Wimbledon crowd don't seem to like noise and they are beginning to turn against Azarenka, who grunts on every shot. There was the same thing during the Sharapova-Dulko match a couple of days ago
5-5 - Guess what? Yep, another hold! Azarenka has not dropped a point behind her first serve and it is that that is keeping her level in this match. She has, however, hit four double faults and has only won three points behind her second serve. That's won't be good enough if the first serve starts to fail her
4-5 - Cirstea holds to leave herself potentially just one game from the first set. Azarenka pushes an agressive, cross court backhand return of serve just wide and will serve to stay in this after the change of ends
4-4 - Azarenka absolutely races through another hold without any of the problems of her previous service game and it is anyone's guess which way this set will go!
3-4 - Cirstea holds again, to 30, to stay in front as we rapidly approach the business end of this set. Azarenka challenges the out call on her cross court forehand that ends the game but Cirstea is already confidently back in her chair by the time hawkeye shows the ball did indeed land a couple of inches out
3-3 - Cirstea sets up two break points when Azarenka snatches at a forehand and puts it into the net. The Belarussian unleashes a ferocious forehand across court to save the first and the second goes begging for Cirstea as she puts a forehand down the line into the net. Azarenka goes on to hold but it is Cirstea who is looking in the better form so far as her cross court forehand return of serve only just lands long. The ball striking from the Romanian so far tody has been superb
2-3 - Cirstea is forced to fend off the first break point of the day but does so with some great length hitting before holding when Azarenka puts a forehand approach shot into the net
2-2 - Azarenka's serve is really firing already today - she is yet to drop a point behind it - and she holds to keep things level
1-2 - Cirstea, who beat Jelena Jankovic and Caroline Wozniacki on her way to the French Open quarter-finals last month, posts another comfortable service hold to stay in front
1-1 - An ace out wide from Azarenka seals her first service hold and both players seem to have settled very well to their first clash on Centre Court
0-1 - Cirstea opens up with a confident service hold including an ace. Solid start from the Romanian, who is playing at just her second Wimbledon
0-0 -
Righto, the players are ready and it will be Cirstea to get things underway by serving first
15:59 -
This clash features two of the most promising, emerging talents in the women's game. These two have faced each other twice before - both times last year - at Wimbledon and the French Open with Azarenka winner both clashes. But Cirstea is six months younger than the Belarussian (both 19) and is enjoying her breakthrough year this year
15:54 - Hello and welcome to this intriguing third round clash between Belarussian eighth seed Victoria Azarenka and Romanian 28th seed Sorana Cirstea

verry good Azarenka won first set
I was impressed with Azarenka when she first appeared on the scene until her craziness and excessive screaming turned me off . I have yet to have the pleasure of watching the new Portuguese teenager Brito in action .
The Dutch press has already dubbed her the new "screamqueen " at such a young age !!
the crowd is not god,it is ok to make noise
We had a good result the other day when two screamers were sent home. Long may it continue with the defeat of Azarenka.
Vika!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hai Sorana!

Come on Sorana, shut this screaming banshee up.
JJ should watch this match to see how to dispose of a less equipped opponent. good luck to both all the same.
