  1. 7-6 - Karlovic serves it out with, what else? An ace. Cue terrible dancing from Karlovic.

  2. 6-4 - Tsonga slams the ball into the net to bring up match point.

  3. 3-2 - A lack of concentration from Karlovic and he puts it long. Tsonga is back in this tie-break.

  4. 2-1 - Karlovic gets to the net to lay down the cut shot to grab the mini-break.

  5. 6-6 - Tsonga holds to love and it is TIE-BREAK time.

  6. 6-5 - Ace, unreturned, unreturned, ace. And that means that Karlovic has gone through a whole set without dropping a single point on his serve.

  7. 5-5 - Tsonga holds to love....

  8. 5-4 - Karlovic nearly set the quickest serve of the tournament so far, but it fell just long. He holds to love - he is 13 behind his record of 55 aces.

  9. 4-4 - KARLOVIC WINS A POINT! Just the one mind, Tsonga holds once more. His passing shots were magnificent in that game.

  10. 4-3 - 28 consecutive points where the receiver has not won the point. The last thing we need are new balls which will travel even quicker through the air.

  11. 3-3 - How many different ways can you say a hold to love?

  12. 3-2 - Tsonga looks to have an opportunity for the passing shot down the line but Karlovic extends his long arms to drop the ball into the empty court. He holds to love.

  13. 2-2 - A hold to love? You bet'cha!

  14. 2-1 - Tsonga looks to the heavens and puffs out his lips, desperately searching for an answer to the Croat's service. He needs to try something new.

  15. 1-1 - An ace down the middle seals the hold for Tsonga.

  16. 1-0 - Karlovic continues his momentum into the fourth set.

  17. 7-5 - Tsonga gets a look at Tsonga's second serve at 30-15. The Frenchman rolls it in at just 84mph which is easy for the Croat to slam back for the winner, he gets two break points. He just needs the one though. Karlovic is at the net and Tsonga slams the ball into the net, it hits the chord and Karlovic does well to flick it to the back of the court. Tsonga hussles back and puts the ball back over the net, but he cannot get near the next ball, Karlovic dropping the ball on a perfect angle. Out of nowhere, KARLOVIC HAS TAKEN THE THIRD SET.

  18. 6-5 - Even when Tsonga guesses correctly, he cannot put the ball back in play. Expect the next update to read tie-break.

  19. 5-5 - Tsonga turns things around from 15-30 to take the game, he confirms his hold with some serve and volley.

  20. 5-4 - Does karlovic hold? Yes. Does he hold to love? Yes. Tsonga's body language is again suggesting that he is finding every one of Karlovic's service games inevitable...which they are.

  21. 4-4 - Tsonga holds to 15 and seals it with ace number 20.

  22. 4-3 - Bish, bosh, bash. Karlovic with more impressing serving and he holds once more.

  23. 3-3 - Karlovic tries to challenge the last call but the umpire decides that he took too long to make the option. It is unlikely that it would have been over turned, it looked comfortbaly in.

  24. 3-2 - Both players remain on service. Karlovic has 30 aces, Tsonga 17.

  25. 2-1 - Karlovic holds to love sealing it with some serve and volley.

  26. 1-1 - Tsonga also holds to love.

  27. 1-0 - Karlovic's 26 and 27 aces hold his serve. The world record is 55, which he set at Roland Garros against Lleyton Hewitt.

  28. 6-7 - We are back level, Tsonga seals it with an ace.

  29. 4-5 - Tsonga tentatively plays his forehand and puts it long.

  30. 2-4 - As we change ends, Tsonga has the advantage with that mini-break.

  31. 1-2 - Tsonga gets the mini-break, can he make it count?

  32. 6-6 - Tsonga gets a couple of points before Karlovic inevitably sends down an ace for the game. Tie-break time.

  33. 5-6 - Tsonga holds his serve with an ace down the middle, it is challenged, but is well in.

  34. 5-5 - Karlovic holds of course.

  35. 4-5 - Tsonga faces a break point, but he saves it well. Are we going to another tie-break.

  36. 4-4 - Tsonga wins his first points on the Karlovic serve since the mid-way point of the first set, or rather Karlovic gave them to him with a wide forehand and a double fault. The crowd and Tsonga become very interested before Karlovic sends down two aces and then two serve and volleys to get out of the relative crisis.

  37. 3-4 - Does Tsonga hold? You bet your bottom dollar he holds!

  38. 3-3 - Tsonga put the ball back in play just twice there, and they were both immediately put away from Karlovic. The Croat is serving 79% on his first serve so Tsonga is not even getting a look at his second serve.

  39. 2-3 - Is looked for a while that Tsonga's body language was going to translate to his play on court. He started off with a very lazy forehand into the net before snapping out of it and sealing things with an ace.

  40. 2-2 - Tsonga has some very poor body language out on court, he is beginning to become a bit disillusioned with these one, two shot rallies. Karlovic holds to love.

  41. 1-2 - Third game of the second set and we see our first deuce of the afternoon. Tsonga recovered from this mini crisis to take the remaining points, winning it with a perfect passing shot across court.

  42. 1-1 - Very unfortunate for Tsonga, he somehow manages to lob the skyscraper frame of Karlovic. The Croat chases the ball down and puts the ball back in play, Tsonga goes for the smash and puts it into the net. Karlovic takes the remaining points to hold to love.

  43. 0-1 - No sign of a hangover from the tie-break for Tsonga, he holds.

  44. 7-6 - Karlovic comes through the tie-break, just the one mini-break required. The Croat takes it 7-5.

  45. 4-2 - Tsonga challenges his attempted forehand winner which is confirmed as wide. That gives Karlovic the mini-break as they change ends.

  46. 6-6 - Tsonga holds and we are going to a TIE-BREAK.

  47. 6-5 - Tsonga gets his nose in front at 0-30 before Karlovic hits four aces in a row to hold the game. Karlovic is slowing things down between points, taking his time in this business end of the set.

  48. 5-5 - Tsonga is covering some good ground of the court, he has been getting to the net quickly to put home the winners.

  49. 5-4 - The biggest cliche in football is that Peter Crouch has good feet for a big man. In tennis it is that Karlovic has good touch at the net for a big man. He plays some nice serve and volley, showing nice hands at the net to flick home the winners.

  50. 4-4 - I'm sorry for the lack of variation on this. Tsonga holds to love, 5 aces for him now.

  51. 4-3 - Tsonga decides to gamble on Karlovic's serve and steps to the backhand side and plays the shot, the only problem was the ball went down the middle. An ace to start and an ace to finish.

  52. 3-3 - Tsonga's serve is looking just as impressive, Karlovic is only able to bunt the ball back.

  53. 3-2 - Tsonga plays a classic drop shot at the net to draw his opponent in and then passes him with a forehand. That gets his nose in front at 30-15. Karlovic then commits some GBH with an ace into Tsonga's body which he does well to fend off. Karlovic repeats the same trick on the next point to take the game.

  54. 2-2 - Both players are not giving an inch on their serve.

  55. 1-1 - Equally, Tsonga has no trouble whatsoever, he also holds to 15, with Karlovic putting the ball into the net to seal it.

  56. 1-0 - At 6' 10", Karlovic is going to be serving out of a tree, he holds his serve to 15.

  57. - - These two have never met on the tour before, but have met in a challenger event, which Tsonga took in straight sets. Karlovic has not dropped a set so far, Tsonga has dropped one. In the last round Tsonga had a walkover due to his opponent pulling out.

  58. - - Welcome to LIVE commentary of the second match on Court One today. Ivo Karlovic and Jo Wilfred Tsonga are on court and are warming up.

  3. As good a server he is, he stands no chance against Federer. Federer will return a lot more serves than Tsonga and he will only need one break per set. Oh, and Im not a Federer fan.

  11. Go, Ivo, go ... but where? He's really the most boring person with a tennis bat in his hands. Only had to learn to serve, and a bit of volleying. True, others have to learn how to receive his impossible 1st serves, part of the game. But at least Ivanisevits (?spelling?) could play tennis. If this guy learned half as much, he'd be absolutely unbeatable for a decade. Would any of you like to see that?
