  1. - - Not a good birthday for Svetlana Kuznetsova. Lisicki will play Caroline Wozniacki in the next round.

  2. 7-5 - 40-15 up Kuznetsova is cruising through her service game, but she them implodes and plays some very strange shots indeed. Lisicki soon earns her fourth match point but slips and cannot get near the ball, to be fair she would have done very well to get there anywhere. But she works another in no time, and this time it is taken! SABINE LISICKI GOES THROUGH

  3. 6-5 - Lisicki holds her serve well.

  4. 5-5 - Kuznetsova double faults and that brings up match point. Svetlana plays a shot that lands at the back of the baseline and Lisicki can only lob the ball into the air which Kuznetsova can put away easily. Two points later Lisicki has another match point which she puts into the net. Lisicki works another match point which she cannot return...and it is by this method that Kuznetsova holds.

  5. 5-4 - Oh dear! Lisicki double faults to begin the game and she tightens up. She drops the game and we are back on serve.

  6. 5-3 - Kuznetsova loosens up and holds easily. Lisicki will be serving with new balls for the match.

  7. 5-2 - A lovely lobbed volley from the back of the court gives Liscki game points. She drops the first with a double fault, but turns things around with an ace out wide. A perfect ace.

  8. 4-2 - A quite brilliant, low, flat forehand from the back of the court gets the break of serve. She has the break and is two games away from victory.

  9. 3-2 - And Lisicki does improve her game, a brilliant;y executed drop shot from her seals the win.

  10. 2-2 - Much, much better from Kuznetsova. Her yelps have grown in volume and she gets the first hold to love of the match. She even hit an ace. Lisicki will not be able to rely on the gifts Svetlana has been giving her so far.

  11. 2-1 - Kuznetsova knocks the ball wide and Lisicki holds.

  12. 1-1 - Lisicki flicks the ball wide and that gives the hold to Kuznetsova.

  13. 1-0 - Kuznetsova has begun to get the crowd on her back as she slams down her racquet in anger. Take nothing away from Lisicki though, she is hitting the ball like a dream.

  14. 6-2 - Kuznetsova is now hearing things. She stops playing when she thinks her serve clipped the net. Everyone remains unmoved though and Svetlana drops the point, much to her bemusement. She then double faults to hand the first set to Lisicki.

  15. 5-2 - Lisicki gets herself out of trouble, saving two break points from Kuznetsova. The players exchanged shots from the back of the court before Lisicki drew Svetlana to the net with a drop shot. It should have been an easy shot from Kuznetsova, but she put the ball into the net. Another strange shot from her.

  16. 4-2 - Lisicki hooks Kuznetsova's serve wide to hand the game to Svetlana. Earlier in the game, Kuznetsova played a good dropshot which should have been enough for victory, but Sabine ran the ball down and was able to clip it back over the net. Problem was that Kuznetsova had already decided she had won the point and was in no position to chase the ball down. The Russian needs to get her head into this match.

  17. 4-1 - More good play from Lisicki, she is really growing into this match, Svet;ana on the other hand is struggling.

  18. 3-1 - Early problems for Kuznetsova. She needs to play with more guile, she is trying smash every single ball but very few of her shots are actually coming off.

  19. 2-1 - Lisicki recovers from a break point and serves it out well. Lisicki's serving has been incredibly impressive, she is just 1 mph below Venus' tournament record.

  20. 1-1 - Though that wasn't much better from the Roland Garros champion. Kuznetsova slams the ball long to hand it to the German.

  21. 0-1 - That is going to do Lisicki's nerves no good at all. She hits three unforced errors to gift it to Svetlana.

  1. Lisicki swith her Serve (best Serve in WTA circuit) and­ her Speed should be very hard to beat for anyone.
    Maybe­ this year, but from 2010 onwards she will dominate.
