  1. 13:29 - That's a very impressive win for Ivanovic who will now face Venus Williams in all likelihood

  2. 2-6 - No, is the simple answer. Ivanovic races through a service hold despite dropping the first point. An unreturned first serve followed by a serve that Stosur slaps long brings up two match points before an almost identical point when Stosur hits long

  3. 2-5 - A very wild forehand from Ivanovic is followed by a stunning cross court forehand winner and the Serb quickly earns herself a first match point when Stosur hits another error - but the Australian battles back to save it and comes through in the end to hold and force Ivanovic to serve it out. Will she wobble though?

  4. 1-5 - Ivanovic holds once again to leave herself potentially just one game away from the second week of Wimbledon. Again Stosur made a move to get back into this clash but Ivanovic stepped it up and held when Stosur hit a forehand just wide

  5. 1-4 - Stosur does hold to 15 to at least keep this match alive for a little longer at the very least

  6. 0-4 - Ivanovic holds once again to cement the break to 15 when Stosur slaps a forehand return of serve into the net. The Australian is in all manner of trouble now - this next game is absolutely must win

  7. 0-3 - Ivanovic breaks for a second time. A great backhand passing shot down the line from the Serb off Stosur's sliced backhand passing shot brings up the two break points. But she only needs the one battering a forehand return of serve straight down the line for a winner! Ivanovic is looking very good indeed now

  8. 0-2 - Ivanovic holds to cement the early break. She didn't have it all her own way in that game and was forced to produce a stunning sliced backhand drop shot at 30-30 before being allowed to go on and hold

  9. 0-1 - Ivanovic breaks to open the second set just like the first. Stosur saves the first with a huge break point first serve out wide followed by a change of direction forehand down the opposite line while the second goes begging for Ivanovic when she returns a great serve out wide, wide of the sidelines. But Ivanovic is gifted the break at the third attempt when Stosur dumps a backhand into the net.

  10. 5-7 - Ivanovic takes the first set! A great game from the Serb as she fires down an ace on the way to three set points. Stosur manages to get one of the points back with a huge backhand return that Ivanovic can only put in the net but the Serb quickly regroups and wraps up the set with a forehand winner

  11. 5-6 - Ouch! A poor game from Stosur hands the momentum straight back to Ivanovic as a double fault on break point leaves the Serb preparing to serve for the first set. That will hurt the Australian, but she has broken back once already in this set so she does know it's possible

  12. 5-5 - Ivanovic recovers to hold with a great first serve that Stosur just about reaches at a stretch but can only return into the net

  13. 5-4 - Stosur moves ahead for the first time in the match, holding to 15. The Australian follows a double fault with an ace and another heavy serve that Ivanovic can only return wide. Not bad!

  14. 4-4 - A slack game from Ivanovic including a wild forehand well wide and a couple of forehands into the net and Stosur breaks to level things back up again. The Australian well hell bent on a forehand return - running round the backhand and battering it away hoping that Ivanovic didn't go down the opposite line for the winner. But the Serb tried to go back across court and hit into the net instead

  15. 3-4 - Stosur really is good at the net - as you would expect from a doubles Grand Slam winner - and she fires down a forehand volley followed by an emphatic smash on her way to another service hold

  16. 2-4 - Ivanovic is looking pretty confident so far today as she holds once again with a couple of huge forehands - one inside out across court and the next a winner down the line

  17. 2-3 - Stosur also holds to keep the deficit down to just the one break - the Australian really is enjoying a rennaissance in her career, reaching the the semi-finals of the French Open earlier this month after Lyme's Disease kept her out of the game for almost 18 months

  18. 1-3 - Ivanovic races through another service game to maintain her break lead early in this first set - Ivanovic reckons she is rediscovering her love of the game after really losing her way when she took over the number one ranking just over a year ago

  19. 1-2 - Much better from Stosur as she holds with a spot of serve and volley to get her side of the scoreboard ticking over. Stosur fires a heavy first serve out wide before following it in and sending an inch-perfect backhand volley right across to the opposite side of the court and right onto the line

  20. 0-2 - Ivanovic has made a blistering start to the match, holding comfortably to cement the break. The Serb looked very impressive in her second round match after being forced to save match points in the opening round

  21. 0-1 - Stosur really struggled in her last match having to battle through against German qualifier Tatjana Malek and she hasn't started well today either dropping serve in the opening game of the match

  22. 0-0 - Ok, the players are ready to go and it will be Stosur to serve first

  23. 12:13 - These two have faced each other twice before, both occassions being in 2006, with the results being split between the two players

  24. 11:54 - Hello fans and welcome to this third round clash between Serbian 13th seed Ana Ivanovic and Australian 18th seed Sam Stosur

  2. Ana was very impressive and furthermore appears to be on an upward progress. Well done and I think she has a chance of making it to the final from the top half of the draw which is weaker in my view.
