  1. 4-6 - JUAN CARLOS FERRERO IS THROUGH TO THE FOURTH ROUND as Gonzalez slaps a double fault on the first match point!

  2. 4-5 - Ferrero shows his champion's temperament with an emphatic service hold to 15, sealed with an ace and Gonzalez will have to serve to stay it in

  3. 4-4 - Gonzalez also holds to love to get things back on level terms and the match could still go either way

  4. 3-4 - Ferrero races through another hold, this time to love, with a series of serve and volley action. Old skool!

  5. 3-3 - This match is becoming increasingly ridiculous as Gonzalez tries to challenge a call but the umpire has to tell him that hawkeye is unavailable due to the light. The crowd think the match is finishing and there is a huge cheer as they players walk back down to their respective ends of the court. Oh and Gonzalez holds by the way!

  6. 2-3 - A comedic end to the game as both players seem to lose track of the score. Gonzalez challenges an out-call on game point but it is proven a correct call and the players try to continue on before Gonzalez realises the score and tells Ferrero the game is done!

  7. 2-2 - Gonzalez slices a serve out wide to ace Ferrero and keep things level in this final set

  8. 1-2 - Ferrero saves three break points with a cool head and agressive play while Gonzalez gets caught up on whether the match should move or not. Still no sign of it yet though

  9. 1-1 - Gonzalez races through a service hold to level up with some force - he doesn't want to hang around for too much longer if he doesn't have to

  10. 0-1 - Ferrero holds from deuce when Gonzalez batters an inside out cross court forehand straight into the net. They are showing no signs of moving courts just yet and the sky has actually cleared up a little

  11. 6-4 - Clinical rrom Gonzalez. Some classic serve and volley to hold it out. The roof is closed over on Centre Court in preparation for this match should the rain worsen

  12. 5-4 - Ferrero holds and Gonzalez appeared to give up early in that game. He will now attempt to try and serve out this set.

  13. 5-3 - Gonzalez holds his serve well.

  14. 4-3 - Once the excited crowd settled down, Ferrero ran out to a 40-0 lead with Gonzalez sending down an ace, Gonzalez got in the spirit of the jovial behaviour by throwing his racquet around. Gonzalez then remembered he was playing in a tennis match and hit some top shots, but not enough to take it away from the Spaniard.

  15. - - Ok, that was quite ridiculous. Ferrero started his service game and as soon as he served the ball, an announcement begun. The players looked extremely confused about what on earth was going on, as did the crowd. The announcement was that if the match cannot be finished on court one, then it will be moved to centre. A very odd moment, not one of Wilmbledon's best moments.

  16. 4-2 - Ferrero looks very frustrated, he has not been able to get a lick on the serve from Gonzalez.

  17. 3-2 - An ace out wide seals the hold for Ferrero, Gonzalez seemed to give up early in that game.

  18. 3-1 - Gonzalez again holds to love. 17 aces for him today.

  19. 2-1 - Ferrero gets on the board.

  20. 2-0 - Gonzalez then follows that up with a hold to love. Ferrero looks a little rattled.

  21. 1-0 - A great game of tennis from both players. Consistently Ferrero got to advantage before Gonzalez put it back to deuce once more with some stunning forehands down the line. Gonzalez brings up his break point with a forehand across court and then seals it with a swatted backhand down the line.

  22. 4-6 - Gonzalez slams the ball wide to give his opponent two set points. Ferrero gets his frame on the ball but cannot even push the ball forward. On the second, Gonzalez sent down a massive which Ferrero could only return long. Gonzalez worked his way to advantage but then double faulted. Ferrero then throws everything behind a whipped return from the serve which falls in and he takes the set with backhand down the line. Warning for Gonzalez for slamming his racquet down in anger. FERRERO LEADS TWO SETS TO ONE.

  23. 4-5 - Bish, bosh, bash. Like Gonzalez, Ferrero holds to love.

  24. 4-4 - An ace down the middle and that confirms the hold to love.

  25. 3-4 - At 30 all Gonzalez played an audacious drop shot, straight from the return to get break point. But if that was good, Ferrero played even better point next up. He pushed Gonzalez from side to side before playing a brilliant cross court smash. Gonzo earned another break point moments later, but again could not take it. Ferrero takes it though. The Spaniard's backhand was exquisite in that game, with surgical precision.

  26. 3-3 - The Chilean holds to love, sending down two aces to seal it.

  27. 2-3 - Gonzalez opens his body up and goes to slam the ball, but can only put it wide. No smile on his face there, he looks at the ground in disgust. Gonzalez was playing some interesting looking squash shots there...maybe a new sport as he reaches retirement.

  28. 2-2 - Gonzalez how has his coaches and his corner laughing away as well. He holds.

  29. 1-2 - Ferrero holds with a big smash, Gonzalez throws his racquet hopefully at the ball much to the crowd's amusement. The Spaniard is doing well to keep his focus, because Gonzalez is just having fun and entertaining people out there. Earlier in the game, the ball died on Gonzalez and he played a ridiculous shot, starting hi racquet at 3 o'clock and moving it around to 9 o'clock. The spin he created was quite remarkable, it's just a shame it fell into the net.

  30. 1-1 - Gonzalez opens up his body and slams the forehand across court and that seals his hold of serve.

  31. 0-1 - Ferrero keeps his form rolling over into the next set. He holds easily.

  32. 5-7 - Ferrero takes the break! He pushes Gonzalez back who can only lob the ball into the air and Ferrero slams down the winner.

  33. 5-6 - Gonzalez lobs the ball up for Ferrero and the Chilean waves his hands in the air to jokingly put Ferrero off who accidentaly hits it straight at him. No harm done though.

  34. 5-5 - The velocity at which Gonzalex is playing his ground strokes is something else. We remain on serve.

  35. 4-5 - Well played from Ferrero, he gets out of trouble after allowing his opponenet to deuce. He holds it out with an ace.

  36. 4-4 - Great fire power from Gonzalez. He sends down a big ace to hold to love.

  37. 3-4 - Ferrero holds well, Gonzalez slamming the ball into the net.

  38. 3-3 - Ferrero slams a forehand into the net and Gonzalez holds. The fans in the stands are getting very excited. If I could speak Spanish I would tell you what they were saying...and who they were supporting.

  39. 2-3 - Ferrero faces a break point but gets through it and we remain on serve. Some umbrellas have gone up in the stands, but the players remain on court.

  40. 2-1 - Gonzalez hits a ferocious ace down the middle to make it 30-0, he then swats a backhand down the line to hold. His finishing position was reminiscent of a matador.

  41. 1-1 - Gonzalez holds to love and that was very easy for him.

  42. 0-1 - We start out the second set with a hold from Ferrero.

  43. 6-4 - Ferrero gets his nose in front at 15-30, then Gonzalez double faults, giving the Spaniard two break back points. Gonzalez lays down a massive smash to save the first, followed by Ferrero rolling the ball into the net. Gonzalez then gets over his blip and holds out the first set.

  44. 5-4 - Some nice body serves from Ferrero there, tieing Gonzalez up well.

  45. 5-3 - Ferrero forces in a stunning forehand to get to 40-30, but he forced the next shot too much and he sent it long. That seals the game for Gonzalez.

  46. 4-3 - The players are rattling through these service games. Ferrero holds well.

  47. 4-2 - Gonzalez is in a ruthless mood and an ace seals his service game.

  48. 3-2 - Gonzalez jumps onto Ferrero's second serve and slams a forehand down the line to seal his break of serve. Ferrero will have to try and change the angle on those second serves.

  49. 2-2 - Box office tennis from Gonzalez. He plays a whipped forehand which swings the ball around the net post, a thrilling shot. He holds to love.

  50. 1-2 - Rain? There appears to be rain in the area, no rain just yet though. We still remain on serve, convincing holds from both players.

  51. 0-1 - And Ferrero holds to start up.

  52. 0-0 - Ferrero to get us started.

  53. - - Two players with the names Gonzalez and Ferrero? On grass? Are you mad? Two latinos are good on a lawn, who would have thought it? Their head-to-head record is tied at three all, though they have never met on the green stuff.
