  1. 6-4 - He only needs the one though as he aces Troicki down the T!!

  2. 40-15 - An ace and two forehand winners and Murray has two match points ...

  3. 5-4 - Troicki does well to hold once again when Murray hits a return of serve long but surely it is only delaying the inevitable as the Scot will serve for the match after the change of ends

  4. 5-3 - A sliced backhand drop shot from Murray followed by a sliced forehand winner straight on to the line and Murray holds to leave Troicki serving to stay in it

  5. 4-3 - Troicki holds from deuce with a forehand winner as the court coverers hover on the outskirts of the court in case the threatening rain arrives

  6. 4-2 - Troicki produces a drop shot that would have been a winner against anyone else, it only lands an inch or so beyond the net. But Murray races up to the net and, with plenty of time on the ball, plays a forehand drop shot winner in return. The Scot then plays a cross court backhand drop shot from behind him on the baseline before finishing up with a forehand cross court passing shot at full stretch! Unbelievable tennis from the world number three!

  7. 3-2 - Troicki holds once again to remain just the one break down and Murray has a bit of a chat to himself about focusing. He's trying a lot of things out on the court because he knows he can but he doesn't want to get carried away and let Troicki back into the match

  8. 3-1 - Murray saves his first break point of the match with an ace (surprise, surprise!) before going on to hold with a forehand winner. Just when Troicki thought he was going to have some success

  9. 2-1 - Troicki does well to hold, throwing in a service winner just his fifth of the match, to get off the mark in this third set

  10. 2-0 - Murray holds with ease to cement the early break when Troicki slaps wide - the Serb let out a huge scream of frustration during that game and who could blame him? He is being comprehensively out-played

  11. 1-0 - Murray is cruising now as he saves a game point with a unbelievably controlled lob after racing back from the net before holding when Troicki slapped an attempted forehand drop shot into the net

  12. 6-3 - Murray fires down his 11th and 12th aces of the set before Troicki hits into the net to hand the Scot the set. Two sets to love now and this is very, very comfortable

  13. 5-3 - Troicki does well to hold once again and hand the Scot the responsibility of serving out. But Murray doesn't look too worried about it as he saunters around the court with ease

  14. 5-2 - Three straight aces from Murray set up an easy game which becomes slightly less so after a double fault and a drop shot winner from Troicki. But the Scot quickly recovers to hold and leave Troicki serving to stay in the second set

  15. 4-2 - Murray sets up a break point with a stunning backhand winner straight down the line but credit to Troicki as he manages to recover and hold and at least threaten slightly in this set

  16. 4-1 - Murray races through another service game to maintain his comfortable lead - anyone would think Murray doesn't want to play under the roof. At this rate he'll be done before the rain arrives at SW19 - and make no mistake it is on it's way

  17. 3-1 - Troicki holds with an ace down the T to get on the scoreboard in this second set

  18. 3-0 - Ouch! This is easy at the moment for Murray as he slams down a jumping forehand overhead on his way to a comfortable serve to cement the early break in this second set

  19. 2-0 - Murray has taken the last six games now as he finds the open court with a running backhand passing shot. He is firmly in control now as Troicki looks to have nothing to challenge him

  20. 1-0 - Murray moves serenely to 40-15 with a crisp backhand winner and two good first serves, but Troicki pounces on a second delivery to hammer it down the line for a winner. Murray clinches the opening game of the second set with the Serb going long with a forehand, and the pressure is back on his opponent.

  21. - - As the players prepare for the second set, read why Eurosport-Yahoo! blogger Simon Reed believes that British fans are entitled to dream about Murray

  22. 6-2 - Murray wins the first set! Troicki twice challenges the umpire's judgement, calling for Hawkeye after overrules, and Murray takes him to deuce with an intelligently-played point, moving his opponent all over the court. Troicki puts the ball in the net on break-point down, and the Brit seizes the first set comprehensively!

  23. 5-2 - A sloppy forehand down the line from Murray which he plants into the net gives Troicki hope at 0-30, but a clean smash and a volley down the line give him 30-30. Murray then closes out the game with an exquisite drop shot, which leaves Troicki flat-footed.

  24. 4-2 - Murray breaks serve! Troicki commits two double-faults - to total three already in the match - and slips to 0-40 on his serve, with Murray hardly having to work for his advantage. The Serb saves the first with a flat forehand cross-court, but he goes long with a forehand to give the Brit the first break of the match!

  25. 3-2 - An ace down the centre from Murray gives him 30-15 after a smash from Troicki, and the Serb hammers a fierce backhand winner down the line to level again. Another good first serve from Murray gives him a 3-2 lead in this first set.

  26. 2-2 - Troicki's serve looks to be in very good working order today, as it was against Gimeno-Traver in the second round, and an emphatic ace outwide gives him 30-15, and the Serb crashes a backhand winner cross-court to close out the game.

  27. 2-1 - Murray looks commanding as he moves swiftly to 40-15 with two big serves, before Troicki finds the net with a sliced backhand to hand his opponent his second service game. It has been a pretty seamless start from both players so far.

  28. 1-1 - Troicki begins with a fierce forehand to dispel any nerves, and finishes with a sharp ace down the T. It has been an impressive start from both players as they look to settle on Centre Court.

  29. 1-0 - No drama in the first game for Murray, and he holds comfortably to put the pressure firmly on his opponent to match him. The Brit found three first serves in the game, and that will encourage him early.

  30. 0-0 - Troicki wins the toss and elects to receive, giving Murray the chance to lead in this first set.

  31. - - Murray, at an inch shorter and a year younger, was exceptional on serve against Ernests Gulbis in the previous round, and it will be an important aspect for the Brit today.

  32. - - Troicki is 6'4" and 23-years-old, while this match represents the first time he has played on Centre Court. A few spots of rain are falling, and the roof will be the major talking point.

  33. - - As the players begin their warm ups, why not take a look at how the rest of the draw has been going, by reading the men's round up

  34. - - The 'Murray fever' is a phrase bandied about in the media a lot, so I'm going to prompt you to read an article about exactly that: Murray fever returning to Wimbledon

  35. - - As the world number three is greeted by the fervent support on Centre Court, striding out with Troicki, why not check out Murray's profile page

  36. - - Murray has won the pair's two previous encounters, at the Miami Masters this year in the last 16, and in St Petersburg in 2008.

  37. - - The weather has been glorious at Wimbledon today, but dark clouds are lurking ominously in SW19, with all thoughts focusing on whether the roof will be employed for this match.

  38. - - The final match on a packed Centre Court could hardly be more exciting for the British fans: Number three seed Andy Murray is facing the 30th seed Serb Viktor Troicki.

  1. Its funny to see how desperate the english tennis fans are. No wonder, their last wimbledon-champion won the title about 100 years ago, and their best ranked tennis player at the moment is not even top 100. Thats the only reason why english tennis fans are supporting Andy Murry, just because of his succes. if there would be a english and a scotish player in the top 10, all people in england would support the english player no one would care about the scot.
It just tells u how desperate these guys in england are, but I can understand them. With such bad tennis players, u have to be sad.

  2. Murray suxxx. He plays so passive all the time, just waiting for the opponent to miss. He is just a better version of Hewitt, but unlike the Australien he wont win Wimbledon. Not this year and not in the future.

  4. EVEN A RETIRED TIM HINMAN WOULD HAVE STROLLED INTO THE FINAL IF PLACED ON MURRAYS DRAW, WHAT? AND NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT, INFACT THEY ARE ALL ARGUING ABOUT BEEN SCOTISH AND BRITISH, JUST WHAT THEY NEED TO DISTRACT PEOPLE FROM WHAT IS GOING ON, WHO CARES IF HE IS BRITISH IS THIS THE OLYMPIC, IF HE WINS THIS TOURNAMENT IT IS NOT GOING TO THE BRITISH SPORT ASSOCIATION OR THE SCOTTISH SPORT ASSOCIATION IT IS GOING TO HIS HOUSE. GET THAT INTO YOUR HEADS AND STOP THIS BRITISH AND SCOTISH ARGUMENT

  5. What surprises me in Andy Murrays part of the draw is while players like Llyton Hewitt, Andy Roddick, Wawrinka are been tested with players that have hot services Murray on the other hand have been playing with players who are serving double faults, it makes you to wonder how was that part of the draw arranged, if this was Federer draw I know people would not have rested with all kind of insults, but now I see the reason why they already picked Murray to get to the finals. The only known player in his draw was Ernest Gulbis (Lat), who is Robert Kendric? Who for God’s own name is Viktor Troicki they all have one thing in common smiling feeling so happy to be playing in the new open roof as if that is not enough he Murray will then be meeting another player who also does not have hot service, a player who also have been enjoying the draw without been tested and at the end of the day when Murray gets to the final they will say he played so hard, played so hard? When he will be meeting a tired and worn out Llyton H or Andy Roddick in the Semis, what a very funny tournament well arranged ANDY MURRAY WILL START PLAYING HIS WIMBLEDON MATCHES WHEN HE GETS TO THE SEMIS.

  11. @aleksziv.....your lack of intelligence is an embarrassment to yourself, you are wasting your time trying to supress my views by changing the subject to my sexual orientation (which is purely heterosexual by the way lol), if you are trying to suggest that the work i used to do is in anyway gay then id urge you to go aboard an oil rig try saying that rather than saying it on an internet chat site! anyway why the hell are you so concerned with my sexuality eh hmmmmmm??? lol....oh and yes i am scottish im from aberdeen, if i were you i would make sure your facts are correct before you begin typing and making a fool of yourself

  13. luvmatennis .......I think that was a good comment to me and not refering to me as a thug or moron lol,I think some of these people who spout their comments about Scots and English should read the history of the British people,I have only recently started to look into this and although I am a proud Englishman I am very proud to be British and if the idiots look Andy plays under the GBR banner.and all that aside he is one of the favourites to win this after all now if this was a football board which I must remind the idiots it isnt I just couldnt find a good word to say about you lot lolololol

First we don't need to know your sexual orientation. This was not the point of this forum....
Second - I don't believe you are actually Scotish.
Which Scot, in his sane mind would say that he is a Brit?
Scotland was occupied by English...Scotland was occupied by English for centuries...Scotland is now occupied by English, together with Wales and part of Ireland ..this is the way how this great country was formed...

Ask Lithuanians about Russians, Greeks about Turks...ask any occupied nation about their occupators...and then try to pose as a member of one
