  1. 3-6 - And Roddick serves it out and he is through to the quarter finals. Very, very easy for him.

  2. 3-5 - Berdych delays the inevitable...

  3. 2-5 - Roddick quickly holds and this one is over, all bar the shouting.

  4. 2-4 - Berdych gets himself in a big, big hole at 0-40. He saves the first when Roddick slams the abll wide. And he could have saved the second as Roddick's lob was going to fall wide, the Czech went for the smash though, and it fell a long way wide. Start the car time.

  5. 2-3 - Ace 22 and then some text book serve and volley and Roddick holds to love.

  6. 2-2 - Roddick could not get near Berdych's service there and if the Czech keeps that up then he will have a fighting chance.

  7. 1-2 - Roddick hits a big serve out wide and Berdych can only clip it long. Roddick holds once more.

  8. 1-1 - A good recovery from Berdych. He faced a break point, which felt like a match point. He recovered well andwe remain on serve in this early stage.

  9. 0-1 - And the third set starts in a similar fashion. Roddick hols to love.

  10. 4-6 - No tie-break required, RODDICK HAS THE BREAK AND THE SECOND SET. A-Rod got his nose in front at 0-30 and two points later, Roddick layed a dropshot which Berdych got to but put long. Two points later, Berdych slammed a forehand into the net and that gives the set to Roddick.

  11. 4-5 - Another holds to love. This looks to be destined for another tie-break.

  12. 4-4 - Roddick clips the ball long and Roddick holds convincingly.

  13. 3-4 - Berdych hits a stunning forehand down the line, if he is going to trouble Roddick's serve then this is how he is going to do it...Problem there was that the shot came at 40-0. Roddick holds once more.

  14. 3-3 - An ugly game from Roddick, he consistently pushed the ball long as he desperately tries to get the break. Berdych holds to love.

  15. 2-3 - Roddick is still having no time at all.

  16. 2-2 - Berdych hits his eighth ace as he holds once more.

  17. 1-2 - Berdych started with some stunning returns as it looked like he had finally found a way to undo A-Rod's serve. He went ahead 0-30 and could have gone ahead 30-40, but he slapped his forehand long. Roddick then sealed it with an unreturnable second serve.

  18. 1-1 - Berdych hangs tough and holds his service game.

  19. 0-1 - Berdych just cannot get near any of Roddick's service games.

  20. - - So Roddick takes the first set, and he is good value for that win. He really should have wrapped it up alot earlier.

  21. 4-7 - Berdych double faulted on the first point, and that was the difference between the two of them in that tie-break. Roddick sealing it with an ace.

  22. 6-6 - We are indeed going to a tie-break.

  23. 6-5 - Lovely soft hands at the net from Berdych and that dinked shot seals his hold. Looks like we are going to go the distance in the first set.

  24. 5-5 - Bang, and again, Roddick holds in a quick fashion.

  25. 5-4 - Nicely done from Berdych. He slams the ball out wide and rushes to the net to lay down the winner. Earlier on, the umpires shouted "out, out," much to the amusement of the crowd. Very frustrating for Roddick, he is playing by far the best tennis, but this hasn't been refleted on the score board.

  26. 4-4 - And just like a flash, Roddick is serving again.

  27. 4-3 - Roddick gets a big slice of luck as the ball falls good when slammed into the net. he does not get to caitalise though, flicking the ball into the net two points later on Berdych's advantage.

  28. 3-3 - At this early stage, Roddick is serving at 80%, very impressive here so far.

  29. 3-2 - Roddick nearly topples over the net as he hussles to chase down a dropshot, which he cannot quite get to. That gives the hold to the Czech.

  30. 2-2 - A serving masterclass from Andy Roddick there. He hit some huge serves and followed them up by rushing to the net to lay down the winners. He holds to love.

  31. 2-1 - Berdych can serve with some serious heat as well though. He hits a massive ace out wide to hold it out.

  32. 1-1 - Feels a little pressure after blowing three game points. He then sends down two 140 mph unreturnablen serves, panic over.

  33. 1-0 - A good save from Berdych after some early pressure on his serve. The Czech missed an easy forehand winner which would have held the game much earlier on. He could not take it and he faced a break point. Berdych eventually held it out with an ace.

  34. - - Berdych to get this match rolling.

  35. - - These two are even stevens in the head-to-head record at 2-2. The winner will meet either Lleyton Hewitt or Radek Stepanek, who are currently playing in the fifth set of their fourth round match.

  36. 18:21 - Ok. So Karlovic has finally stopped serving bombs, so that brings Andy Roddick onto court for his match against Tomas Berdych.

  2. Roddick has a great draw. Get through Hewitt to make the semis? Pretty much a done deal. He's beaten the Aussie four times in a row and I doubt Lleyton can handle Roddick's firepower. Straight sets. 4-4-4.
