  1. - - Murray is the first Britain since Tim Henman in 2002 to reach the semi-finals of Wimbledon, having only previously progressed to this stage of a Grand Slam once before at last year's US Open. Thanks for joining us. Click here to view the full men's drawsheet

  2. - - In the semi-finals, Murray will face the winner of Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt, where the American took the opening set. Click here to follow that match LIVE

  3. 6-2 - Murray has won in straight sets over Juan Carlos Ferrero! The Brit has looked utterly dominant in dispatching of the Spaniard, and he wins 7-5 6-3 6-2 on Centre Court!

  4. 5-2 - Ferrero is taken aback by the adrenaline of Murray, who races into a 0-40 lead on his serve, and the Spaniard can do nothing to combat his momentum. Murray now just has to serve out for a straight-sets victory!

  5. 4-2 - Murray moves swiftly to 30-0 with another crisp first serve to the body of Ferrero, and the Brit appears to be in a real rush, progressing serenely to 40-0. Murray consolidates his break with a comfortable hold to 15.

  6. 3-2 - Murray establishes two break points on Ferrero's serve, forcing the error from the Spaniard at 15-30 with a deft drop shot. Murray goes long with his first opportunity, with Ferrero playing the percentages, but takes the second to continue his incredible momentum in this match!

  7. 2-2 - After fighting off Murray's advances in the previous game, it is pretty disheartening for Ferrero to see his opponent holding serve to love, and looking utterly imperious in the process, finishing with an ace.

  8. 1-2 - Murray wins an incredibly tight point to move to 15-30 on Ferrero's serve, leaving the crowd in raptures, and Ferrero cannot hold off his momentum as he forces a break point. A forehand down the line from Ferrero takes the game to deuce, and the Spaniard hold his composure.

  9. 1-1 - Murray continues to serve in a commanding fashion, dominating the points and showing good conviction. A sliced serve outwide allows the Brit to hold to 15, and level at 1-1, to Ferrero's frustration.

  10. 0-1 - A fierce return from Murray forces a sliced forehand from Ferrero, and he pegs his opponent back to 40-30 with a powerful backhand. The Spaniard holds after an unforced error from the Brit, and held his nerve well there.

  11. 6-3 - Murray's momentum is unabating as he storms through his service game to consolidate his second break and take the second set 6-3: what an astonishing turn around! Murray has won 20 of the last 23 points!

  12. 5-3 - Another three break points are established by Murray, who is looking in ominously good form now. Ferrero goes wide with a backhand pass, and the Brit is firmly in control in this second set now.

  13. 4-3 - Murray looks to have regained his rhythm entirely, pushing ahead at 4-3 after a convincing service hold to build on his break. Ferrero could not respond to that sudden and destructive burst from the Brit.

  14. 3-3 - Murray seizes the initiative and capitalises on some hesitant serving from Ferrero, who lets his level drop crucially. The Brit races to 0-40 with a powerful forehand winner down the line, and takes his first break point to hit back and draw level in the second set.

  15. 2-3 - A crisp forehand cross court beats Ferrero's despairing lunge to give Murray 30-0, but the Spaniard pegs him back to 30-30. A fine forehand pass from Ferrero denies Murray at 40-30, but the Brit holds his nerve to take the game after deuce.

  16. 1-3 - Ferrero plays a very poor sliced backhand volley to hand Murray the opening point of the game, but Ferrero responds with a sublime forehand winner. Murray battles in every point, but Ferrero is clinical in holding to 15.

  17. 1-2 - Murray finally finds his rhythm in this second set, holding to 15 and looking entirely at ease. Ferrero holds the ascendency, however, and Murray must now find some inspiration on the Spaniard's serve.

  18. 0-2 - Ferrero continues to capitalise on some slack play from Murray at the start of this second set, and swiftly moves to 40-0, before closing the game out with a crisp forehand to consolidate his break.

  19. 0-1 - Murray attempts to overturn a line call at the start of the game, but is incorrect and slips behind. Ferrero clips a delightful forehand pass cross court to take two break points on the Brit's serve. Murray delivers a huge 132mph serve to save the first, but plants a backhand in the net to hand Ferrero the early advantage in this second set.

  20. - - To view a photo of Andy Murray serving in the first set click here

  21. 7-5 - For the second time, Ferrero is faced with the pressure of having to hold serve to stay in the first set, but this time he is broken! A flashing forehand winner cross court from Murray levels at 15-15, and another fortunate net cord puts the Spaniard under the cosh. A stunning forehand winner cross court gives Murray a break point at 30-40, but he goes wide with a backhand. Murray replicates the feat to present a second break point and Ferrero hits long - what a time to break for the Brit!

  22. 6-5 - Murray races to 40-0 with two further aces and the Brit's serve is in stupendous form today. A net cord goes against Murray, but it does not deter his progress as he rattles an ace down the T to close out the game.

  23. 5-5 - Murray is furious with himself for overhitting a backhand and presenting his opponent with 30-15, but a dubious line call takes the game to 30-30. A perfectly-played point from Ferrero wears out Murray and gives him 40-30, outmanoeuvring his opponent, and a backhand goes long from the Brit to give him the game.

  24. - - You can also follow fellow Britain, the junior second seed Laura Robson, who is in a tense final set against unseeded Quirine Lemoine on Court 18. Click here to view LIVE comments of this match

  25. 5-4 - A ferocious ace outwide from Murray is followed by another down the T on the deuce court, moving to 40-0 comfortably, and the Brit wins the game to love in imperious fashion.

  26. 4-4 - Ferrero finds himself under intense pressure at 30-30, serving with new balls, but Murray goes long with a backhand slice, and hands the Spaniard an opportunity to take the game. The Brit responds in style with a stunning backhand winner to take the game to deuce. An extended rally is won by Ferrero with a forceful forehand, and the Spaniard takes the game with a precise backhand pass.

  27. 4-3 - Murray wins two cheap points, and takes his ace count to five, compared to Ferrero's zero. The Brit closes out his fourth service game in convincing fashion to hold the ascendency once more in this first set.

  28. 3-3 - A delightful drop volley from Ferrero gives him 30-0, before Murray lashes a forehand down the line to narrow the deficit. Ferrero closes the game out well with a good first serve, and this first set remains tightly poised.

  29. 3-2 - Murray begins his service game with a crunching ace down the T, and a crisp backhand winner down the line gives him a solid platform at 30-0. The Brit holds comprehensively, and continues to stay in front of his opponent in this first set.

  30. 2-2 - Murray looks to put the pressure on his opponent with a gritty rally which gives him 15-30 on Ferrero's serve, but the Spaniard responds with a solid forehand winner. Murray then earns a break point with more percentage tennis, but the Brit overhits a forehand to squander the opportunity. Ferrero closes the match out after deuce with a crisp drop volley.

  31. 2-1 - It is a slightly hesitant start to his second service game from Murray, but he moves to 40-15 with a hugely fortunate net cord. A sloppy forehand into the net brings Ferrero back into the game at 40-30, but a fierce ace outwide closes it out for the Brit.

  32. - - You can follow the first quarter final on Court one between Tommy Haas and Novak Djokovic, with the German two-sets up, but a break down in the third. Click here to follow LIVE coverage of that match

  33. 1-1 - Ferrero looks slightly nervy as Murray races to 0-30 - winning the first six points of the match - but a flashing forehand cross court from the Spaniard and two wayward returns enable him to recover, holding to 30.

  34. 1-0 - Murray holds in his opening service game with consummate ease to love, and Ferrero was not afforded a glimmer of an opportunity to attack the Brit's serve. The pressure is now on the Spaniard to establish himself.

  35. 0-0 - Juan Carlos Ferrero wins the toss and elects to receive first, with Murray about to serve in front of a packed centre court.

  36. - - In the previous rounds Murray has beaten Robert Kendrick, Ernests Gulbis, Viktor Troicki and Stanislas Wawrinka; meanwhile, Ferrero has come through matches with Mikhail Youzhny, Fabrice Santoro, Fernando Gonzalez and Gilles Simon.

  1. Phillip B, what does the B stand for, apart from Brainless Buffoon...

If you cannot tell a Scottish accent from an Irish one that proves what a pr@ck you really are.......
Not all Scottish accents are like the strong Glaswegian brogue just like not all english accents are like the London cockney one, what an ignorant arseh@le you are..
As for studying Thai in Thailand methinks the only thing you would be studying in Bangkok would be the LADYBOYS... You nancyboy!!!

  2. Yeah yeah all so important people on the yahoo eurosports forums LOL

They still use 'he doesnt support his rival football team' as an excuse to make up some codswallop about the great player.

Celtic fans wont support ranger fans, chelsea fans wont support man utd fans, its so simple, stop acting dumb just to be a little fool of a racist bum licking father.

  5. Just like England there are many Scottish accents. Edinburgh is totally different to Glasow, Aberdeen, all of the West Coast Islands and Inverness to name just a few. Andy has a lovely SCOTTISH accent, but the best is supposed to come from Inverness which is reportedly the Queens English.

Andy Murray: Good tennis player. @#$% person. Just can't route for the charmless @#$% with his anti-English sentiments still fresh in mind. If someone asks me my nationality I will say I'm English. If someone asks if I'm British I'll say yes. I don't feel the need to point out the distinction like this birk.

  18. I have tried very hard to communicate with Scottish brain cells, but I have to admit defeat........every time I put a truly logical comment on here, some morons with ginger hair give a negative due to their single brain cell "sparking" into life. Check it out now! Why is my comment hidden due to low rating? Count the number of negatives, and you are counting the number of Scottish brain cells per person. My comment on this board? When Rangers of Celtic are in Europe I support them as a Brit. When Andy Murray is playing at Wimbledon, I am not allowed to support him because I am English! Count the brain cells! 1...2...3...4...

  19. Lex, this is the old English, British, Scottish thing again and your comments have way too much sense for most of the people who post on here, who clearly just want an argument with you

From the silent assassin, on Wed 1 Jul 5:42PM
  20. No mate, what I am refering to is the people who are saying things like " Screw andy murray I dont want him to win because he didnt support England"

That is football, this is Tennis.

My dads english, mums scottish, they dont support each others teams, its a FRIENDLY rivalry like all football teams have a main rival.

To see people get angry because someone won't support his rival football team is pathetic and childish, basically using it as an excuse to cause an argument, I have heard it so much on here its wearing thin, but its now being used by racists to take a pot shot at Andy.

Nobody in their right mind supports their rival football team, nobody can argue that unless of course it's a racist, annoying child.
