  9. 1-6 - Williams slams a forehand down the line to move to 30-15, and after just 26 minutes, a huge first serve brings her two set points. Safina lashes a backhand long, and the first set goes to Venus Williams, without any hassle at all

  10. 1-5 - Safina spares herself the ignominy of losing the opening set to love, and the Russian holds serve to 30. It was still very hard going, with Williams pushing her all the way, but Safina found two good serves when she needed them.

  11. 0-5 - After just 19 minutes, Williams extends her lead to 5-0, holding serve and looking imperious! Safina seems utterly helpless in response, and the American is holding nothing back.

  12. 0-4 - Safina battles tirelessly, but Williams is relentless, and the American forces a break point after deuce with a fierce forehand. The Russian finds a good first serve to test Williams, but she hammers it down the line and forces Safina to find the net: this is a thrashing so far!

When some Americans root against Venus and Serena­ Williams the best two female tennis players that are­ representing­ America at this Slam because of skin­ color, God has away of making everything alright. I­ guess those of you sprewing all that hate can turn your­ TVs off on Saturday because one of these tennis players­ that you have such contempt for is going to win the­ match. See what you got an all Americans final and­ both will bring trophies home for America.   9. safina is am embarrashment to tennis, how can she be­ considered number 1 in the world. something needs to be­ done about this. she should never play again if she­ cant compete better than this. i love womens tennis but­ its so over-rated. there are only like 4 good girls and­ sharapova is also over-rated. if the williams sister­ aren't in it then womens tennis is shyt. all these­ girls are average and when the williams sisters wanna­ play its no match. i love you serena and venus keep­ kicking there @#$%
