VENUS 2-6 3-6 - VENUS WILLIAMS IS OUT! What a performance from Radwanska, who wins through comfortably to secure her place in the third round, and the Pole in jubilant while Venus trudges off. Radwanska will next face Svetlana Kuznetsova. Is this the end for Venus? There is growing speculation that she may well call it a day. Drawsheet
- -
VENUS 2-6 3-5 - BREAK! Venus breaks serve and further reduces the deficit, and surely she can't force her way back into this match, can she? Radwanska looks nervy all of a sudden.
- - VENUS 2-6 2-5 - Venus shows good application and determination to hold serve under pressure from her opponent, and now Radwanska can serve out for the match...
- - VENUS 2-6 1-5 - Radwanska is unwavering on her serve, and Williams cannot make any impact as she holds serve once more and moves to within a game of the match!
- - VENUS 2-6 1-4 - Venus holds serve, but the American still has an awful lot of work to do to simply get back on terms in this second set.
- - VENUS 2-6 0-4 - Radwanska again consolidates with a composed and comfortable service hold, and the Pole is utterly dominant in this match.
- -
VENUS 2-6 0-3 - BREAK! Radwanska breaks for a second successive game, and she looks to be romping to victory in this match! Williams is simply not competitive from the back of the court today.
- - VENUS 2-6 0-2 - Radwanska consolidates her break of serve, and the Pole is cruising through this second set very comfortably. Venus needs to find a response and quickly.
- -
VENUS 2-6 0-1 - BREAK! Radwanska gets off to a very solid start with a string of fine groundstrokes, and she assumes control with a break of serve at the start of the set!
- -
VENUS 2-6 - SET! Radwanska takes the opening set in clinical fashion, and the Pole is cruising at this stage with Williams unable to compete with her opponent. Can she raise her intensity in the second set?
- - VENUS 2-5 - Venus gets on the board once more to reduce the deficit, but it's an unconvincing hold and she has to improve and quickly!
- - VENUS 1-5 - Williams is really struggling here and Radwanska is utterly ruthless and clinical as she moves to within a game of the opening set with a fine hold.
- -
VENUS 1-4 - BREAK! Venus is committing a vast number of unforced errors, and that's 15 already as she plants a forehand wide of her opponent's backhand wing. She's really struggling.
- - VENUS 1-3 - Radwanska is unerring on her own serve and finds three big first deliveries, two of which leave Venus to plant her return into the net.
- - VENUS 1-2 - Williams gets on the board belatedly with a service hold, and the American is beginning to find a decent rhythm on her first delivery, with confidence that she will take into the next game.
- - VENUS 0-2 - Radwanska consolidates her break of serve with three first deliveries and she manages to keep Venus from responding immediately to falling a break down.
- -
VENUS 0-1 - BREAK! Radwanska breaks serve from the outset, slamming two fierce forehand winners down the line to stun Williams, who starts the match extremely sluggishly!
- -
The next match on Philippe Chatrier sees third seed Agnieszka Radwanksa take on Venus Williams - this should be an absolute cracker!

I am very happy as Radwanska has won as I'm Pole. But regardless sisters Williams' father's behaviour it is worth to add as Venus and her sister achievements are great.
"I don't like these raw pollacks, I NEVER will forget the 'Bromberg Bloodsunday' or the tens of thousand Germans bestially murdered by pollacks between 1919-1939, Germans who lived in Poland as a result of WW1 and the theft of German territory, while at the same time NOT ONE of those hundreds of thousands of Poles that came to Germany and found work in the mining industry was molested or murdered .So finally German troops had to go into Poland to protect the German minorities living there, because the League of Nations ignored Germany's complains. This institution was joow controlled like the United Nations , UN, are now joow controlled." Aga all the way ha ha
No matter what anybody is going to say , the Williams sisters gave a lot to women tennis and that respect must be accorded them. Yes maybe it is time to call it quits with the game but hey they have made their money. We are only wasting our time by pouring insults on them on this forum that I don't think they even read. Thanks to Venus and Serena for giving us good ten years of beautiful tennis.
ha!
As for WillsnWays the person who hit every branch when they fell out the ugly tree, you really are something you really are! There is only one fool and thats you! Hiding behind a pc playing with yourself no doubt, you are not welcome here just like your Mum said when your ugly mug came into the world. You not going to tell me where you are then, want you to tell me those things to my face before you taste hospital food ! Miserable idiot lol .... I'm waiting.....
Congrats to Aga - she played well but didnt have to try hard. The match was hers from the start !
@ Crash - for the record Serena not only shook Razzano's hand she actually walked over to Razzano's side of the court to do the hand shake.
Like watching Venus play. As for Serena, she is rude, gives her opposition no credit for beating her, and has no respect for the "little people" of the game (umpires, lines-people, ballgirls/boys, etc.). In fact I didn't see her shake Razzano' hand after the match. She walked off the court, in self pity.

Good another William sister is out ...Not good enough....Nice going...Agnieszka.
now we can proceed at the french without the whining and complaining williams sisters act. Hey, they had great careers, due in no small part to Serena having the body of a man. Venus I enjoyed watching her play. Great talent.
Fantastic! Happy for Aga! Great to see Venus back. Hope we see her again soon.
My prediction was right after all. I don't want to say "I told you so", but I am going to. I said here yesterday that Venus will be following her sister in her next round and I was right. I think it is time for Venus to call it quits. She look as if she has only one min to live. She is tired. Venus, love yourself enought to be proud of what you have achieved over the years and call it quits. Find something less physical to do. Love you!!!!!
Don't you worry, Daddy Richie will come up with a perfect good racist excuse.
Hate to say it but the williams sisters had lost their A game
Let's hear it from Mr. Williams, Daddy. The judges were racist.
What a performance from Radwanska, who wins through comfortably to secure her place in the third round. By the way, it was obvious that RADWANSKA won.
