  1. David was incredible this afternoon in defeating­ "Goliath" in the guise of Juan Martin del­ Potro. What David is doing for smaller guys out-there­ almost defies imagination. That's WHY you've­ gotta LOVE this guy! To beat Del Potro easily in­ straight set is simply extraordinary! It's not as­ if Juan Martin played badly: he actually played pretty­ well - it's just that David was quite sensational! ­ If David plays like this against Andy, then Andy will­ need to produce his A game in order to keep David at­ bay, and ultimately overcome him. Anything less from­ Andy, and David will most likely win!

  6. Murray vs Ferrer will be a good one. Murray is heavily­ favored but Ferrer has been playing good and it looks­ like grass is like clay to him. A FIRST GS for the­ winner is very possible. Stay tuned.

  7. Eddie - Safin was a huge talent - much bigger than­ DelPo. He won 2 majors (decimated Sampras in the us­ open final when he was like 19 and took Federer out in­ the semis in an epic match at Australia - Fed's­ only loss at a non-French slam over a 4 year span) and­ had he been more focused on tennis and suffered fewer­ injuries it's unlikely Federer would have ever­ broken Sampras record. As for DelPo, he's a much­ harder worker than Safin who suffered a very serious­ wrist surgery after finally breaking through. He still­ hasn't regained his form from '09.

  8. Eddie - Wimbledon was DelPo's best performance at a­ slam in 2011. And Ferrer has made the quarters­ "already"? Ferrer has just now made the­ quarters for the first time in 10 attempts. This was­ DelPo's 5th Wimbledon and probably not more than­ his 8th tournament on grass. He certainly didn't­ look like he belonged on grass today - but his best­ results have come on the fastest of hard courts. His­ game is a good fit for grass - its disappointing he­ hasn't had better results.

  11. Brent, Delpo is the one that doesn't belong on­ grass. In his 7 year career, he has only made it past­ the 3th round twice. Never to the QF's. Ferrer is a­ quarterfinalist already. It was a clinic by David and­ an embarrassing performance by Juan Martin.

The standing block is­ the GS- would-be-first timer Andy but you never know,­ nothing is certain at this point but I hope the­ GS-hungry Andy will win it. All is going for Andy.   18. Del Potro has no business losing to Ferrer on grass -­ if both play their best tennis it's a straight set­ win for DelPo on that surface. DelPo seems to have­ become a head case while coming back from his wrist­ injury - lets line calls and other minor issues really­ get to him. He also doesn't play the aggressive,­ confident style he played in 2009 - way too many­ tentatively struck balls that allow his opponents to­ take the offensive and push him around. I've been­ a DelPo fan for a while, but I'm getting­ exceedingly disappointed with his inability to regain­ the form he had in '09.

  20. If only Ferrer was 6'-1" tall. He might have­ won a major by now. No one has a bigger heart than­ David. Most of the time when we get to the QF's­ it's David vs Goliath. He might break through the­ Finals this year if he can upset Murray. Will be very­ very tough to do.
