  14. Yanni, the prizes for a singles winner and a­ double's winner aare obviously different. A singles­ winner (male or female) wins 1.15 million pounds, and a­ doubles winner (male or female) wins 260,000 pounds­ each. So how is it unfair that serena wins 2 money­ prizes. She worked twice as hard as anyone in that­ tournament to be in two different competitions in the­ same tournament at the same time so to say the least,­ she deserves it. Also what does this have to so with­ equal wages for men and women? If women were to play 3­ sets (best of 5), i'm sure they would be thrilled­ (thus Venus William's argument when she fought for­ equality of wages).

  18. I know this will not be popular, but it will be true!­ This is another reason why women should not be paid the­ same amount in major championships ONLY. No way could­ men could possibly play a 5 set match and then go and­ play a double straight after! So unfair that Serena­ goes and collect two money prizes!
