Poor Caro will always be found wanting when she­ encounters an aggressive and offensive player who plays­ with extra caution to reduce errors. You can never walk­ past aggressors and power punchers like Serena, Masha,­ Kvitova, Kerber, Vika, Petrova etc when you resort to­ play overly defensive. I knew it was going to be­ difficult for Carol to walk past Nadia, but I­ didn't by any stretch of imagination suspect it­ would be such a hammering.

It looks like Caroline's staying with the father as­ coach could mean nothing is going to change­ significantly any time soon. When Caro won the Kremlin­ Cup it was the best i had seen her play for a long­ time. This seems an easy win for Petrova considering­ Caro had only dropped the one set in this tournament­ and had a winning head to head. An easy victory for Nadia Petrova. She wasn't­ really tested in this Final - Caroline Wozniacki gave­ her too many free points.

After loosing her service for the second time, father­ Piotr came on court and gave Caroline a pep-talk. A­ change of racquet didn't help in the next game­ which Petrova won fairly easily. However Wozniacki did­ win her next service game. Has the tide turned?
