DEL POTRO 3-6 3-6 7-6(3) 6-3 3-6 - GAME, SET & MATCH! Jeremy Chardy has just recorded one of the biggest wins of his career over on Hisense, surviving the fightback from sixth seed Juan Martin Del Potro to take the final set with one break of serve. The Frenchman served out at the first attempt, firing down a huge first serve that failed to come back.

DEL POTRO 3-6 3-6 7-6(3) 6-3 - SET! Much better from DelPo as he has finally found some form to race through the fourth set with a break. The Argentine sealed it with a huge first serve that Chardy could not return in play and that one is going to a fifth
- -
DEL POTRO 3-6 3-6 7-6(3) - SET! DelPo has started his comeback from his two sets deficit against Chardy, playing a far superior breaker to the Frenchman and sealing it 7-3 with a huge unreturnable first serve. The fightback is on from the Argentine sixth seed
- -
DEL POTRO 3-6 3-6 - SET! DelPo's woe continues over on Hisense as he goes two sets to love down against Chardy. He has never come back from two sets to love down in his entire career DelPo but that's what he will have to do if he is to turn this around, the Argentine slapping a forehand into the net to end the second in Chardy's favour
- -
DEL POTRO 3-6 2-3 - BREAK! Things continue to get worse for DelPo as he finds himself a break down in this second set as well now. He actually had a break point of his own in the previous game but could not take advantage of it and Chardy has pounced immediately, again dictating the rally with his forehand and biding his time until DelPo hit the error
- -
DEL POTRO 3-6 - SET! Sixth seed Del Potro is in all sorts of trouble over on Hisense and has just dropped the first set to Chardy. The Frenchman is not an easy opponent by any means and he forehand is firing on all cylinders today. He rattles a passing shot winner off that wing to seal the set. Just the one break in the set but DelPo is really struggling and had to save three set points on his own serve in the eighth game
- -
DEL POTRO 0-2 - BREAK! After a commanding performance in the second round that lead former winner Thomas Johansson to declare DelPo is hitting the ball now as well as he did when he won the US Open in 2009, the Argentine has made a sluggish start over on Hisense. Tricky Frenchman Chardy has broken in just the second game
