Roger is a great player, but he's so arrogant... and so ungracious in defeat. He simply can't accept that Rafa is now the better player and easily world No 1. I actually thought Roger was the greatest player I'd ever seen but i now put Rafa just ahead as player but a mile ahead as as sportsman because of his attitude to winning and losing. He's humble when winning and gracious in defeat, many people should follow his example.... starting with Federer
Well done to both players. Shame one person had to lose, however, I agree with Enigma that Federer could have been more gracious - it was all about him, whereas Nadal has shown us all, once again, how sports people should behave.

We're so lucky to have two such brilliant players around at the same time. I just wish that Federer was a little bit more gracious in defeat, and accepted that he lost because Nadal was simply better on the day, rather than saying he lost because he played badly in parts. Nadal has a superb temperament and personality and is always gracious whether he loses or wins.
Unfortunately, we're not so fortunate in the women's game, and I found the final embarrassing to watch. Sorry, but I cannot see the justification for equal prize money (and I'm female!) There is no depth or consistency to the game at the moment.
SEEMS NO MATTER THE NUMBER OF TIMES NADAL BEATS FEDERER THERE ARE LOTS OF QUESTION ON WHY HE LOST.PEOPLE SHOULD LOOK AT THE RECORDS BETWEEN THE TWO.RAFA IS SO DOMINANT.IF IT HAD BEEN THE OTHER WAY ROUND NO QUESTION WOULD BE ASKED.WHY?
You did your best Fed,you were both aiming to break new ground and in any situation there are winners and losers! Thanks for the entertainment and wish you luck at your next attempt.
