Bernie looks absolutely lost and Max looks as if he isn't aware of anything of importance happening. Ron Dennis is demanding why Bernie allowed it to get this far. Brawn appears to be well on his way to where he has a future.
Screwed up? Yes, and Bernie really was too arrogant to believe that FOTA had the horses to go out and get it done on their own. When I saw that Ferrari were in FOTA and actually exercising leadership I knew that Max had lost. No one is going to go against Ferrari and the other manufacturers.
As much as the FIA would like to have it appear that all they are is an international group that seeks to improve the plight of automobile owners and enthusiast clubs, national manufacturers have a great deal to say about how their national clubs are run if the manufacturers are seriously engaged in racing in any way. To say that Porsche has no interest, and/or say in the affairs of the ADAC would be illogical and uninformed. Not only is this influence political, it is financial. BMW and Mercedes could very well inform the ADAC that they are not happy with what the FIA is doing and as a result will be significantly reducing their financial contribution. Don't you think that that has an influence on how loyal the ADAC is to Mosley? If the clubs from the countries holding race dates, and the clubs from the countries from which teams are located suddenly removed their backing for any of this legal action, Max would be left with nothing in his hands. I hope to God this happens soon.
Factory forever.........tech forever.
Factory forever
There could be a case for two championships - the new "big 8" based on the first choice Euro and US circuits and the remaining two plus new contenders based on some Euro and US circuits and the more recent "Eastern" tracks.- even a two teams up and two teams down each year system not unlike the Football Leage way of doing things?
