Championship - Seasiders make Bednar offer

Fri, 01 Jun 09:16:00 2012

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has confirmed an offer remains on the table for Roman Bednar to stay at Bloomfield Road.

Roman Bednar - 0

Bednar joined the Seasiders on a short-term deal from West Brom in January, but a knee injury sustained moments after the 29-year-old striker opened his account for the club during March's 3-3 draw with Leicester sidelined him until a late cameo in the Championship play-off final defeat to West Ham.

"We've spoken to Roman's agent and it's down to him now to decide where his future lies because he's a free agent," Oyston told Blackpool's website.

"I don't think we particularly saw the best of him, not through any fault of his.

"He came in and he got injured almost immediately after he popped a goal in.

"It would be nice for Roman to come along and join the club for a couple of years to see if he's as good as we all think he is, and I'm sure he is."

  1. **TRANSFER NEWS** Blightpool make offer for drug user Roman Bednar. A club official said "He'll fit in well with everyone at Blightpool. Hopefully we'll all get staff discount" However some of the supporters we not impressed. In an interview one supporter, who wanted to remain nameless said "As the manager of Blightpool I should have first choice on who comes into the club" He then jumped on the back of his pink elephant and flew away.
