Goran Ivanisevic had the beating of Tim Henman once again as the Croat registered a 6-4 5-7 11-9 victory at the AEGON Masters in London.

Under the lights at the Royal Albert Hall, the match ended with the same result as the last time the two met - in an epic three-day, five-set Wimbledon semi-final nine years ago - with Ivanisevic proving too strong for the former British number one.

This time, the duel lasted less than a hour and a half with Ivanisevic - the eventual winner of Wimbledon in 2001 - edging Henman, who took the second set, in a champions tiebreak.

Henman had geared up for the clash with Ivanisevic with a 6-4 6-4 win over Younes El Aynaoui of Morocco, but there was to be no fairy tale ending - and no revenge over the man who broke his and British tennis fans' hearts all those years ago.

Also in action this week are champion Pat Rafter, Pat Cash, Todd Martin, Henri Leconte, Thomas Enqvist and Jeremy Bates.
