Vonn escapes training crash unharmed
Olympic and world champion Lindsey Vonn escaped unhurt after crashing heavily in training in Austria on Wednesday, the American wrote on her Facebook page.
"Had a pretty scary crash today training GS in Hinterreit, Austria. I hit my head pretty hard and had to go to the hospital to get a CT scan," she wrote.
"Luckily the scan showed no major injuries! I will be very sore tomorrow but should be fine in a few days.
"I will have to see how I feel and play it by ear for the upcoming races this weekend in Zwiesel, Germany," she added, linking a video of the crash to her post.
The Zwiesel races could be threatened with bad weather forecasts prompting organisers to switch the slalom to Friday and the giant slalom to Saturday.
Vonn will defend her downhill and Super-G titles at the world championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen which start on February 8.
