Round-up: Soto, John defend titles
Humberto Soto won an all-Mexican WBA lightweight clash with Urbano Antillon to defend his title with a unanimous 12-round decision in California.
It was a tough battle for Soto though as two judges scored it 114-113 and the third 115-112.
It was Soto's 10th win in a row and moves his record to 54-7-2.
"It was a great fight. Both of us gave our hearts out," Soto said.
"I knew he was coming at me all night. I knew he was going to take everything I had. That's why I had to keep working."
Meanwhile, Chris John (pictured) dominated Argentina’s Fernando Saucedo to keep the WBA super-featherweight championship in Jakarta.
The undefeated Indonesian did everything in the fight but knock his opponent down and the judges' scorecards reflected his dominance.
Two judges scored it 119-109 and a third had John winning all rounds at 120-108. His record is now stands at 44-0-2.
