Taylor out for Latics

Oldham will be without attacking midfielder Chris Taylor when they host npower League One leaders Charlton.

Taylor's season looks to have come to an end after he suffered ankle ligament damage during Tuesday night's defeat at Brentford, and the 25-year-old may have played his last game for his hometown club after rejecting a contract extension.

On-loan Manchester City forward Harry Bunn and winger Keanu Marsh-Brown are vying to replace Taylor in boss Paul Dickov's starting line-up.

Felipe Morais - who netted a late equaliser when the Latics claimed a 1-1 draw at The Valley earlier in the season - started his first game in midweek since suffering concussion in a car accident and came through unscathed, while captain Dean Furman and forward Robbie Simpson have suffered no adverse reactions on their recent returns from respective knee and toe problems.

Goalkeeper Alex Cisak (shoulder) remains on the sidelines alongside long-term absentees Paul Black (hamstring) and James Wesolowski (shoulder).

Oldham's season is in danger of petering out after a run of seven defeats in their last nine outings.
