Republic of Ireland striker Simon Cox accepts he may have to leave West Brom to further his international ambitions after starting just one match for them so far this season.
Cox knows he cannot afford too much more inactivity if he is to make the trip with his country to next summer's Euro 2012 finals in Poland and Ukraine.
Asked about the possibility of a move, the 24-year-old told the Birmingham Mail: "I'm never happy when I'm not playing. I would like to play more and it might be something I have to look at in the Christmas period.
"If that is to happen then it will be a decision that suits everyone concerned - myself, my family, the club and if there is a club who would take me on loan or more.
"The manager has said some kind things, but if you don't play then you can't show what you can do.
"I want to be in the best physical shape possible and in the best mental state to give myself the best chance of getting to the Euros."
