McIntyre bullish over Pars' prospects

Dunfermline manager Jim McIntyre is confident his side, bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League, can dent Rangers' title bid by winning at home for the first time this season on Saturday.

The Pars drew 1-1 with Kilmarnock on Tuesday night to climb level on points with Hibernian at the foot of the SPL but remain bottom due to an inferior goal difference.

Despite a run of one win in 15 games in all competitions, McIntyre is bullish about the Pars' chances at East End Park.

McIntyre said: "Obviously you want to pick up more points than you do away, because of the fans. We've been disappointed we've not managed to do that. As long as we continue not to win at home this question will keep coming up.

"We're the home team and it's up to us to try to get a result. I've always got confidence going into a game that we can win, but against the Old Firm it's always tough. You need everybody to be playing well, you need a few of their players to have an off day."
