Chinese teenager Zhang Anda qualified for the Crucible after an astonishing finale against Ricky Walden.
Zhang was locked at 8-8 with the world number 20 in their last-48 qualifying match at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield, but took the initiative with a break of 134 to go within a frame of victory.
Walden made a good start in the 18th frame as he scored an early 32, but he let Zhang in again - and the Chinese player rattled in a second consecutive century to take the match.
Stephen Lee thrashed Mike Dunn 10-2 to secure his spot at the Crucible, while former world champion Graeme Dott successfully came through his match against Jimmy Michie 10-5.
"It was the best I have felt for a while," said Lee, a four-time ranking event winner.
"I have funneled my focus into practice lately, playing at a new club in Swindon. It's horrible if your season ends in a booth so I'm pleased to get through this."
