Brady took the field with the rest of the team for midweek practice, local media reported.

The team said Brady "reports that he's OK," in its official Twitter feed. "He was not hospitalized."

The two-car accident occurred at 6:34 a.m. local time, and one of the passengers in the other vehicle was taken to the hospital, according to the Boston Fire Department. The circumstances of the accident were under investigation.

Brady, who did not speak to reporters, is due to start in the Patriots' season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.

The 33-year-old quarterback, who led his team to Super Bowl victories in 2002, 2004 and 2005, is currently negotiating a new contract with the Patriots.
