Championship - London games go ahead
The Football League has confirmed that all scheduled games in London will go ahead as planned this weekend, despite riots afflicting the city.
The Premier League confirmed earlier on Thursday that Tottenham's game against Everton on Saturday had been called off following civil unrest in the area at the weekend.
The Football League said its fixture list in London remained intact, though Cheltenham v Swindon Town in League Two has been postponed due to disturbances in Gloucester.
"Following on-going discussions with the Metropolitan Police, statutory authorities and clubs in London, The Football League can confirm that all League games in the capital will go ahead as scheduled this weekend," read a statement.
"The Football League has worked closely with the authorities and London-based clubs throughout the recent civil unrest to ensure matches are staged in accordance with supporter safety."
Gloucester police are focused on preventing a repeat of the trouble seen this week so have advised Cheltenham to call off the game at the weekend.
