Mardy Fish downed fellow giant-killer Feliciano Lopez in straight sets 6-3 6-4 to ensure an all-American final at the AEGON Championships at the Queen's Club.

Fish secured single breaks in each set as the American produced a composed and confident display to beat the eighth seed and reach the showpiece match on Sunday, where he will meet compatriot Sam Querrey.

Both players began steadily, but Lopez wavered on serve in the sixth game and was ruthlessly punished by his opponent, who clinched the crucial break with an exquisite backhand lob.

The Spaniard could not muster a response, and Fish closed out the opening set with real conviction as he racked up 11 aces and boasted a first serve percentage of 60.

The second set began much like the first, but again it was Lopez who erred on serve in the seventh game, and Fish was clinical once more as he unleashed a flurry of groundstrokes to secure the break.

Lopez battled hard and again forced his opponent to serve out for the set, which Fish duly did to love to reach the final at the Queen's Club, where he will meet Rainer Schuettler's conqueror Querrey.
