Cuche tops timesheets in Wengen
Didier Cuche was fastest on the second day of downhill training in Wengen, Switzerland ahead of Saturday's World Cup race.
However, due to bad conditions on the Lauberhorn course, the course was shortened thus limiting the potential impact the training times could have on the overall race.
Defending World Cup downhill champion Cuche produced a time 1:50.31 which left him 0.86 seconds faster than Werner Heel of Italy, with last year's Wengen winner, Carlo Janka of Switzerland, trailing by 1.21 in third.
Italy's Christof Innerhofer, who was fastest on Tuesday, could only manage the 10th best time this time out.
The third and final training day in Wengen, scheduled for Thursday, has been cancelled.
The race is due to take place on Saturday.
