The Italian team will initially be represented at the camp by 21 cyclists, including Damiano Cunego, Alessandro Petacchi, Michele Scarponi, Francesco Gavazzi and Adriano Malori.

They will then be joined by the remaining seven, who are currently in Australia preparing for the Tour Down Under, on January 24.

The full squad will be together for just three days though, with 10 of their number then departing for the Giro della Provincia di Calabria.

"We're going to be at Residence Riva degli Etruschi for a fifth year," Giuseppe Saronni, Lampre-ISD's general manager, said. "I think it's a very good tradition.

"The good weather of the Tuscan coast and the suitable training course will allow the technical staff to improve the condition of the athletes."
