Championship - Bristol City sign Morris
The 33-year-old, who is a free agent after being released by St Johnstone, has signed a one-year contract at Ashton Gate.
City manager Derek McInnes, who bossed Morris at the SPL club, told the Robins' official website: "Jody is someone I know well and someone I trust. I know about his dedication to performing, not only on a matchday, but also in training throughout the week.
"I feel it is important we bring in the right players and also the right types and Jody fits that bracket. He was a vital part of my team at St Johnstone and I'm looking forward to working with him again here at Bristol City.
"Jody has excellent experience as well as superb fitness levels and I know he is capable of performing well in the Championship on a regular basis."
Meanwhile, City defender Joe Edwards has signed a new one-year contract.
The promising 21-year-old has made two appearances for City while impressing on loan spells with Stockport and Yeovil.
McInnes said: "I liked his approach from the outset. At times he was playing out of position but he was just desperate to get games. He was driven and wanted to do well.
"When there is a feeling a player wants to be here then you are always confident a deal can be done.
"On the back of committing himself to the club, I'm sure he will have that hunger to earn a place in our first team.
"He's got it all to prove but we certainly feel he's someone we'd like to work with."
