Cardiff manager Malky Mackay was furious with the decision to disallow a Ben Turner goal as his side fell out of the npower Championship play-offs following a 3-0 home defeat to Hull.
The Bluebirds suffered their heaviest home loss of the season as a Kevin McNaughton own-goal and second-half strikes from James Chester and Aaron McLean moved the Tigers into the top six.
But, rather than focus on his own team's display, Mackay lamented the decision to disallow Turner's header in the 40th minute for an infringement on Hull goalkeeper Vito Mannone at a corner.
He said: "Ben's disallowed goal was a horrendous decision by the assistant referee.
"It was incredible and I will send the DVD clip into the Football Association because the officials need to become better.
"People will see the scoreline and think we have been torn apart but it wasn't the case."
