Managerial reaction to Wednesday's Premier League action, with Arsene Wenger effectively admitting defeat in the title race.

Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal

Harry Redknapp: "It's about 11 years since we beat Arsenal so it was a great result for us. Sunday's (FA Cup semi-final defeat) knocked us all for six to be honest, but we showed the character we've got at the club. He (goalscorer Danny Rose) is a good little player. That was great technique and a great goal."

Arsene Wenger: "We lost a game we couldn't afford to lose in the title race. That shows that we're not mature enough because you can't afford to lose this type of game if you want to win the championship. There's too much to do now. We're very unlikely now to win the championship. We'll continue to fight but even a point wasn't enough from tonight - we needed three points."

Aston Villa 2-2 Everton

Martin O'Neill: "Maybe a point did not suit either team in terms of our respective aspirations, Everton in terms of European football and ourselves in terms of something higher. I thought before the game to give ourselves a proper chance (of Champions League football) we have to win all six remaining games. Now I would say we have to win the whole lot from here. It is not impossible but it will be tough."

David Moyes: "We will keep going. We will keep trying. Europe is important and we will keep fighting to try and get in there. When you consider where we were in October, the players have done a great job and we have lost only two of 20 matches. It is a bit galling that the last three matches have been draws and we could have done with an extra point or two."

Wigan Athletic 0-0 Portsmouth

Roberto Martinez: "It was one of those tricky performances. I knew when I saw the line-up Portsmouth had to play in a different way and they reacted well in adversity. They were very organised and got players behind the ball. The disappointing thing is we had a lot of possession and couldn't take advantage."

Avram Grant: "The Premier League need not say anything about Portsmouth. They need to give us an award because we are playing as we play with a lot of injuries - it is not ideal for us. But what can I do, we have many players who were injured so we used some players from the academy and I was very pleased with them. We needed to do it because we have a very small squad."
