La Liga - Mourinho shuns press
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho avoided the media following his UEFA-imposed touchline ban by sending assistant coach Aitor Karanka to the post-Spanish Supercopa press conference.
The Portuguese coach only returned to the media spotlight on Saturday after completing his five-match ban for suggesting referees favoured Barcelona - and seems to have returned to voluntary exile.
Karanka was left to field questions at the press conference but played down the situation, saying: ''This was a dynamic we used last year.''
Mourinho's only public comment since April was made on Saturday, when he said: ''No one will shut me up."
The match itself ended 2-2 with goals from Mesut Ozil and Xabi Alonso for Real and David Villa and Lionel Messi for Barcelona.
