La Liga - Ramos: Madrid were superior
Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos believes his side were superior to Barcelona in the Spanish Supercopa and was disappointed not to win a game which ended 2-2.
Los Blancos went ahead through Mesut Ozil and had numerous chances in an exciting game but will have to go to the Camp Nou for the second leg with the tie level.
Ramos was left frustrated with the result, but takes heart from the improved performance against their great rivals.
The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "We had many chances to score and that's why this result seems insufficient. We played well and were superior in my opinion.
"We were a lot better than in recent games against Barcelona.
"We put in a great performance and always knew what had to be done. We kept possession longer, but we lacked the luck we've had on goal in other matches."
