Tuesday February 16 - matches kick-off at 19:45
Milan v Manchester United
Beckham is not guaranteed a starting berth, but reports in Italy suggest he will get the nod, despite having been on the bench for the last two league games. Forward Alexandre Pato returns from injury but centre-back Thiago Silva sustained a thigh injury in the weekend's match against Udinese. The Brazilian is battling to shake off the problem and partner fit-again Alessandro Nesta at the back while striker Marco Borriello is a doubt and Klaas Jan Huntelaar could again deputise having scored twice against Udinese
Nemanja Vidic is again missing as Manchester United resumed their quest to reach a third consecutive Champions League final. Vidic, who has yet to play in 2010 after developing a nerve problem in his leg, was ruled out, leaving Ferguson to decide whether Jonny Evans or Wes Brown should partner new England skipper Rio Ferdinand in central defence. Ryan Giggs is also missing after breaking an arm in last week's draw at Aston Villa, but the remainder of United's first-team squad, with the exception of out-of-favour midfielder Anderson, made the two-hour trip for a meeting with the seven-time winners who have beaten United on all four occasions they have met in a two-legged European tie.
Lyon v Real Madrid
Lyon boss Claude Puel will be without defenders Francois Clerc and Anderson for the visit of Real Madrid, as both are struggling with knee injuries. Midfielder Mathiru Bodmer (groin) also misses out. Puel has included Anthony Reveillere in his squad despite the full-back suffering from a stomach virus, while Jean Makoun should return to the side having sat out through suspension at the weekend.
Real Madrid striker Marim Benzema is fit and ready to return to the Stade Gerland to face his former club. Veteran playmaker Guti is out after regaining his place in the team in recent weeks with a hernia problem.
