Serie A - Hernandez double as Palermo deny Roma
Roma's first day under American ownership ended in disappointment after Palermo grabbed a 3-2 away win to hit their rivals' hopes of Champions League football next season.
Roma, taken over by a US consortium headed by Thomas Di Benedetto subject to regulatory approval, led through Francesco Totti's 20th minute penalty after Jeremy Menez was felled but Mauricio Pinilla hit back from the spot just before the break.
Roma had chances to go back infront but Uruguay forward Abel Hernandez scored twice for the eighth-placed visitors in the last six minutes to leave Roma, in sixth, four points off the fourth Champions League qualifying spot with five games left.
Leaders AC Milan can take a step closer to the title with victory at home to relegation-threatened Sampdoria later on Saturday when champions Inter Milan also visit lowly Parma.
