South African wing Jean de Villiers will appear at a judicial hearing on Sunday after being cited for a dangerous tackle during his side's 31-17 loss to the All Blacks in their Tri-Nations clash on Saturday.
De Villiers was cited by citing commissioner Scott Nowland for the tackle on All Blacks winger Rene Ranger in the 27th minute of the match, governing body SANZAR said in a statement.

De Villiers is the second Springboks player to be cited in this year's competition. Lock Bakkies Botha was suspended for nine weeks after he admitted head butting All Blacks' scrumhalf Jimmy Cowan in the 32-12 loss last week at Eden Park.
