Williams played against England and Scotland in place of first-choice Matthew Rees, who remains out of consideration for the February 26 match at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff with a groin problem.

British and Irish Lions prop Gethin Jenkins, who came off injured against Scotland having missed the England game, is out again after aggravating the same calf injury, the Welsh Rugby Union said in a statement.

Wales will take on the tournament favourites also without flanker Andy Powell, dropped for disciplinary reasons, and Lions lock Alun Wyn Jones, who underwent elbow surgery on Wednesday.

Coach Warren Gatland will name his team next Monday for the Friday night game, with Huw Bennett likely to start at hooker.
