Warren signs promising Rees
Welsh boxer Lewis Rees has signed a deal to be promoted by Frank Warren.
The 21-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with Warren and is expected to make his professional debut at light-weltweight on the undercard of Nathan Cleverly's WBO light-heavyweight title bout with Germany's Juergen Braehmer at Wembley Arena on April 2.
Rees, trained and managed by Gary Lockett, has won Home Nations titles on two occasions as an amateur as well as three Welsh Amateur Boxing Association titles - although he missed out on an appearance at the Commonwealth Games through injury.
He turned professional in January, working with Lockett.
"Lewis has signed up with Frank," said Lockett. "We are delighted because Frank is a top promoter and Frank is happy because he has signed a really promising and talented fighter."
